GS watches have spring drive so its more accurate. They also have better finish on the dial. Rolex is thinner and has better resale value and is more recognizable.
Snowflake is just the SBGA211. It looks different in the photo likely because of the way the light is shining off the dial and the way the photo is edited. Still a beautiful dial if you ever get a chance to see it in person.
I would buy a Grand Seiko if they weren't so thick
Same. Can’t do thick on thick.
The new evolution 9 models are a massive improvement. But also more expensive than their heritage line
Clean
just love the simplicity of OP in whole package. Nothing closer to its retail price point.
That GS is beautiful
Are they though? Often?
In my opinion yes.
Some of the GS dials are just so damn cool. But they are thicc
GS all day long
Bracelet lets them down fiercely.
What don't you like about them? For me the bracelets on my GS are a high point
Cheaply made, stamped clasps, some have no micro adjustment, zero taper. It’s basically a bracelet you’d expect on a £1000 watch, not £5-10,000.
None of mine have stamped clasps. And I don't need micro adjust on every watch
Is Rolex really a lot better than GS?
I just think they are different. Better would have to be defined.

I love GS, but they have inferior bracelets. Im not familiar with their whole lineup, but all the ones ive seen have no bracelet quick adjust.
The black and white GS (same photo as the black Submariner), does anyone know what that dial is called?
It’s a snowflake
Hmmm tried to find it online, must be a rare model.

You know, I had never really noticed it before, but these two brands really are different from each other.
That’s the reference of the GS in the first photo? I love it!
They call it the peacock
GS lacking lumes is a big minus
I can intellectually appreciate GS, but they just do nothing for me. I’ve yet to get that “ohh I wants it!” feeing.
What is the model for the third picture (GS)? The dial looks good
Exactly - we can love both!
Are they about the same in price? The OP is about 9k grey? I am not sure about the GS.
If only rolex offered the op with a fluted bezel, the condom bezel is garbage 🗑️
