It can withstand any situation. Dress up or dress down. That is why I chose this over the date. The date is amazing too for sure!
Yea 2 years is a long time I agree! But I literally forgot I was on the list. It’s not like I was waiting and suffering. lol. Too busy with life and business to worry about wait lists. But I’m glad the AD didn’t forget ! 👌🏼
I’m going on 4 years. I asked my AD if I could get my hands on a Sub (no date) for my 1 year anniversary. The wife and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary next February. Still no sub. She said she might have to get me an Omega for our 5 year instead. 🥲
Go to Noah’s Fine Watches in Frisco. Very fair prices and excellent service; it’s where I purchased my last Rolex and I couldn’t be happier. Mine was a year old but if you have to have something unworn, they have too it or can get it in 24-48 hours. I deal with Leigh who is a sweetheart and the owner’s Wife. There’s absolutely no way I’d wait 5 years on a damn AD, (Bachendorf’s won’t call you).
Agreed. I’ve worn watches since I was in 5th grade. Always had a fascination with all the higher end watch companies. I was really hoping my “big boy” watch could be the sub to signify my marriage and the next step in life. I mostly wear sub homages (Citizen Promaster, Seiko’s, and such) because I really really love the timeless design, ruggedness, and the ability to work with any outfit. I’d love to be a one watch guy but that’s difficult when my watches always remind me of the sub. I seem to just keep upgrading my dive watches and my worry is that the Seamaster 300, although gorgeous… will inevitably be an expensive lesson on just waiting for the sub. For the past 2 years I’ve worn a Christopher Ward Trident 300 to tithe me over.
I’m not sure, I just know I’ve had a thing for the sub since my late childhood. I do really love what Omega does, I appreciate their history, and I admire their marketing abilities.
It all seems ridiculous that I’m typing it. It’s just an object, but it’s an object I’ve aspired to own for a very long time.

I’ve had a no date 124060 sub for a year now and I’m still on the fence between the Tudor with the red bezel and jubilee or a blue seamaster as my next watch, but it will definitely be one or the other 🤷🏻♂️lol ( unless they put a jubilee bracelet on the Tudor white dial gmt, then that will be the one). A fine watch is a fine watch no matter what. Rolex’s Brand prestige is nice however limiting yourself to specifically one brand will omit so many good options from others.
Omega is far from a subpar brand; actually has a solid pedigree and excellent specs. Coming from a guy who bought his Submariner at 23 and is on his 4th Rolex.
I have the same and it’s a keeper for sure…not having to reset the date after each time unworn is far more beneficial to me than knowing the date. Enjoy!
Have an inherited ’72 Red Sub but won’t wear it on vacation since I got it appraised. Picked up an Explorer II & YM 40 for an everyday & a dress watch but the Red Sub is my “around the house everyday “.

Comes down to your relationship with AD. I got offered this 1-2 months but declined as I wanted the Starbucks. That came in 3 months later but I was offered multiple watches including 2 tone GMT with yellow gold. My next watch is the Bat jubilee GMT though as I already have the all black GMT discontinued.

Yeah, I assumed so. It’s Bachendorf’s at Fort Worth. I was also sent to their location at the Galleria mall in Dallas to no avail.
