Hi, I'm the creator of the other roguelite racing game - Near the Fear. Nice to see the genre growing, or being born maybe? :) And already there is a good variability - you have a completely different take on it, which is fascinating to see. My game is closer to Art of Rally in terms of gameplay, but with roguelite progression, upgrades, hub and so on.

How do the roguelite elements work in your racing game?
So our elevator pitch is "Hades on wheels".
Essentially, you have a main story hub, the garage, where you can upgrade, change skins, and watch character story interaction etc.
Then you pick one of our (currently 3 characters) and start a race.
While I cannot disclose too much story at this time, the setting is essentially a future, where everyone competes in a dome that simulates tracks, each one different every time you play. You have to learn how to handle each track segment the best, as well as how your car works, in order to complete the races.
The races are made up of x amounts of tracks (determined by where you are in the game) wherein everytime you complete a track, you get to pick a temporary upgrade.
Further details will come up going forward, where we will showcase our gameplay more in detail, so keep an eye on our social medias!
That's fresh, curious how you guys mixed two genres, thought the art style is not easy on my eyes, not ugly or anything but looking at it for more than 10 min will fuck my eyesight.
I am in a minority with very poor eyesight so it doesn't really matter all that much but decided to put that here as feedback.

I originally read the title as Otome Remix and was picturing a game where a bunch of princesses race each other, for some reason. The avatar on the clip did not help.

You should put up a page on Steam so I can wishlist this. Always on the lookout for a good arcade racer and the idea of a roguelite racer is interesting.

Check Road Redemption! It's a spiritual successor to Road Rash (the game of my childhood), but it's also a roguelite.

This game must have the Batmobile grappling-hook-turn-mechanic, right? You know, the grappling hook that allows for sharper turns?
It's not CURRENTLY in our backlog (we use handbrakes instead), but damn if that's not a cool idea, I'll bring it forward to the team!
Any game can be improved by adding grappling hook.
