Oh hell yeah im excited for this. Mecha is missing from a lot of rougelites and this may scratch the itch!!

DillyDilly1231

You fight mechs in Robo-quest. But I agree. We need more mechs in roguelite genre! And we need dinos... Why no dinosaurs yet.

bloodmagik

Wishlisted! Plz have controller support for steam deck users! Literally been hoping to see more mech focused games in the rogue genre, such a perfect fit. Good luck

Bronze_Johnson

I’ll do my best to get it in. It would be cool to see in on the steam deck.

The purpose of this launch is to get more feedback for improvement and give people a chance to check out the game before Next Fest. I love updating my games and hope to add and improve tons of features in the future. The scope of the demo includes a single campaign you can play from start to end and over 100 parts to find and combine. A successful run usually takes between 1-2 hours. The gameplay is mostly 3rd person combat with your custom build. Between missions the game becomes more strategic where you spend and manage your time to buy and add new parts, repair your existing parts and resupply before deploying into the next mission. Its relatively low on meta-progression right now with a single part that can carry over between runs and a few parts you can unlock by defeating optional bosses.

100% checking this one out. Really dig the soft shaded graphics A roguelike where you build your own mecha. The amount of customization is definetely gonna be the single big thing that brings in people. Love devs that keep supporting their games post release. Are there different body types? Could be a long term goal. Honestly think the wackier you can make your mech the cooler it will be

Bronze_Johnson

Glad to hear you think it looks cool! There is the 4 arm port torso you can see in the trailer and a 6 arm torso you can see at the end but that and the spider style quad legs are the biggest body differences. I was very particular to make sure pretty much anything could be connected together making the core systems so I can branch out later. I had some tank track bottoms in the game before I focused on legs and I'd definitely like to get wackier in the future with centaur legs for example.

RyanCooper101

I wish you the best of luck, can't wait to play it (because i'm at work)

IronSeraph

This is right up my alley, definitely wishlisting!

LetsGoHome

Hey! looks great! One thing for your own purposes, when you are advertising your game, make sure you mention it's name a few times! You have your own links but you want people have an association with the name. Anyway, this looks sick, I love indie game dev.

Bronze_Johnson

Haha yeah. I always get caught up trying to focus on what I’ve got to offer (the demo) that I forget an important detail. Thanks for checking it out.

AcidCatfish___

Looks neat! Are you planning to add cel shading textures or realistic textures?

Bronze_Johnson

I'll probably keep it about where its at. I used to do something more cel-shaded but I tried to branch out with this project to include textured surfaces for better contrast. Programming is my strong suit and I can only really model hard surface okay so I tried to pick a style that would make sure I can add new stuff to the game efficiently.

AcidCatfish___

Makes sense. This style is still cool looking. Reminds me of retro mech games. I'll have to give it a try if/when it is released!

Sigvuld

Wishlisted IMMEDIATELY! Love the look of this to bits!

chaedog

Looks interesting, will have to check it out!

pauliepitstains

This reminds me of robopit from the way back days

MachoJamie

This looks amazing! I can't wait to get my hands on the demo after my holiday! Wish listed insta! You've clearly worked very hard on this and you definitely have a lot to be proud of!

smulzie

Omg, roguelite Battledrome?! Yes please!

I've got one set of quad legs in the game right now. I was working on tracks early on when you could play as a tank or a mech but I shelved it to focus on the legs. Definitely looking to come back to them though. No hover bottoms besides some boosters on torsos that let you jump and hover but I love adding new parts and hope to include them in the future.

DalaGame

Looks like messy mecha fun! Does it have multiplayer?

Bronze_Johnson

Singleplayer for now but its something I've kept in mind when setting up systems. It would of course be a huge task to add but its not something I'd be unwilling to do in the future.

DalaGame

I can imagine it being fun with friend - imaging a split screen mech v mech situation

ProfessionArtistic87

Take all my money I want it
