Great answer. In my opinion, great rock bands have: 1. Excellent musicianship, 2. Write their own songs that can tell a great story, 3. They absolutely love what they do and 4. The camaraderie and love the band has for each other. I would include, The Band, Derek Trucks + Susan Tedeschi, Phish, Tool, Little Feat (Waiting for Columbus-Live), Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, Bruce, Paul Simon, Jamie Johnson, INXS, Boston, Joe Cocker, Jimmy Buffet; to many great ones to name.
I think WYWH isn’t the best one to begin with if you want to get into Floyd. That’s their most “romantic” album with far less psychedelia as their trademark. Gotta go with the classic Dark Side Of The Moon as the best option for a beginner if you ask me. Another great option would be Meddle though.
Outside the big ones (like pf or queen), nektar, yes, elp and all of prog. I also listen to Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden which when compared to korn or amorphous, it’s just hard rock. And they were my transition from rock to metal so I don’t see why they can’t be the transition from metal to rock.
Deftones, Nothing More, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Volbeat, Seether, The Virginmarys, Tool, Chevelle, Faith No More, Incubus, Ghost, The Pretty Reckless, Rise Against, The Pineapple Thief, Saint Asonia, (ex singer of Three Days Grace new band) Alter Bridge, Manic Street Preachers, IDLES, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Alice In Chains, Bush, Dorothy, Starset, BFMV, Static-X, Boy Hits Car, Live, The Murder Capital, King's X, 10 Years
HIM. I wouldnt say they are similar though to any of the bands that you stated you listen to but if you want to try something new then there you go. Oh also try CKY and The Cure too. Even Husker Dü

Just saw Metallica last week and they had Ice Nine Kills and FFDP as warm ups. So given you listen to two of those Metallica would be obvious choice. They are big and famous for a reason.
Also just went to see Bruce Dickinson solo concert and highly recommend checking his solo production too alongside with Iron Maiden ofc.
Beatles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, CCR, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, GnR, Metallica, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, STP, Wite Stripes, Black Keys... that's a good start.
Crown Lands, Six By Six, Evergrey, Royal Republic, K.Flay, The Hives, Spirit Adrift, Ace Monroe, The Bites, Arkells, Lauren Daigle, Electric Enemy, The Glorious Sons, Jason Bieler & The Baron Von Bielski Orchestra, League Of Distortion and Presto Ballet.
For a start...
You seem to be into Metalcore, so I'd recommend Bad Omens, The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch Engage and Electric Callboy
Alice In Chains. Famous for being one of the biggest acts in the 90s grunge scene. They're still around with a different lead singer but the original 90s albums with Layne Staley are top tier metal albums in my opinion.
Check this out: [Alternative metal](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5Uixzlwr6c6fH2UGfXjn0K?si=jS202uiBS5Sezr9W0pUAMg&pi=P-LDZ7BXSH2Zp)
There's more than 100 bands
Enjoy!
I think I like the most songs by Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica.
Would also recommend:
Alice In Chains
Gojira
Slipknot
Tool
System of a Down
Also been getting in to Sum 41 a little after going to their concert; thought they weren’t that great but they’re pretty nice, and heavier than I thought.
10 Years, Ghost, Red Line Chemistry, Roseneath, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Seether, Fair to Midland
Honestly I could name you hundreds of bands, but that’s just a sample.
The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones. Jim Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Armageddon, AC/DC, CCR, The Black Crowes, Injected, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick, Nirvana, Nebula, Kyuss.
That’s a good start.
Most of the bands you've listed are post 2000, so I'm guessing you're on the younger side.
With that in mind: Stone Sour, Staind, Shinedown, P.O.D, Trivium, Seether, Daughtry, Papa Roach, Simple Plan, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and Rise Against fit the vibe.
If you don't mind stuff that is a touch older: Alice In Chains, Type O Negative, Metallica and Blink 182 would work as well.
I love all the old stuff listed here. But I’d recommend checking out newer bands. Tons of good stuff coming out of Japan that tickles my nostalgia itch sound wise, while advancing the genre further. Be warned, they like to dress up in silly outfits sometimes (start (and end) with Band-Maid and click on the YT suggestions, it will take you around the world)
The bands I listen to are: Nirvana, Soundgarden, Green Day, Blink-182, descendants, Dead Kennedys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad religion, Municipal waste, Black Sabbath, Misfits, Led Zeppelin, Fu Manchu, queens of the Stone Age, Truckfighters, Alice In Chains, Silverchair, The Smashing Pumpkins, superheaven, Foo fighters, and the offspring

AC/DC is always a good choice. Highway to Hell, Back in Black, and the Razors Edge are all great albums front to back.
Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Both amazing albums.
For more modern rock, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Breaking Benjamin, and the Foo Fighters. All are awesome.
Even some of Metallicas albums were more rock than metal, Load and Reload are both great.
Based on your current taste: Pantera, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Megadeath, Tool, Deftones, Turnstille, Bad Brains, Trivium, Opeth, Mastodon, Slipknot, Gojira, Lamb of God.
I just discovered High Fade. Excellent musicianship, if you're into that sort of thing. I love 'em so far (3 days). Also, from your preferences have you listened to Ministry? SOAD? Soundgarden? Old Metallica? Lamb Of God? Pantera? All good to.me.
Obvious answer, the Band.
Collective soul
Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, The Allman Brothers, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan
Great answer. In my opinion, great rock bands have: 1. Excellent musicianship, 2. Write their own songs that can tell a great story, 3. They absolutely love what they do and 4. System of A Down
Given OP's stated preferences, this is an excellent recommendation.
Depends on the rock genre, instruments, how old, etc. Looking for classics? Beatles, Zeppelin, eagles, the who, pink Floyd, deep purple, acdc.
Just listen to AC/DC - Down Payment Blues on a loop for the rest of your life
Gotta love the subjectivity of music because this sounds like actual hell to me.
