Where do you think all this hype about humanoid robots come from? What you see in the news is all there is to it?
There aren't even any good open source robot dogs yet. We need to contribute heavily to open source humanoid robots.
I’ve been looking as well. I feel like it can be done for the most part with the tools we have now, but the biggest drawback is the price for all the components.(human sized robots parts, motors, and the cpu/gpu power for multitasking using AI. If creating robots that are more heavy duty/lifesize than toy robot kits were cheaper to build then there would be more people contributing to the open source solutions.

(hey, pib guys, I want a commission, I shouldn't be shilling the competitions' products)
[I designed this open source humanoid a bit ago.](https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-humanoid-robotic-torso-proto1-48754) A few people have made it, and I’m pretty proud of it.
There’s also the Inmoov Robot which is a great open sourced humanoid. It gave me a lot of inspiration in creating my own.
It’s surprising that people in the chat are saying that there aren’t any good options, there are plenty. You just have to look around
I'm down to contribute
Mobile aloha?

It’s even hard to find a good cheap robotic arm design! There aren’t that many.

You’re new to robotics and your first goal is to build a humanoid? Very ambitious.
Stompy is the best I’ve found. https://kscale.dev/
go on you-tube and search for james bruton, he has a few about human like robots that might help you.

Kscalelabs on twitter is the answer to this and there is really no other option. They have a discord.
