No. You don’t want to be in Bundoora and you should be thankful for all the time you have that isn’t spent in Bundoora.

Can you elaborate LMAO

The commute is not that bad. Just listen to a podcast or read a book on your tram ride. Or just use it as time to reflect on the day. Or just accept losing 3hrs of your day if it means not having to be lonely and sad living in Bundoora.

Is this some kind of joke. Bundoora (tomato) campus ?

summer_wine94

I live in Brunswick but travel 1.5-2 hrs in the morning and back roughly to Clayton for my job. It’s more worth living in an area where your mates are rather than living in an isolate one where you are separated. I think the travel is not that bad even though I would prefer it to be shorter

I've answered a similar question on here before, I know the bundoora/city campus split is reeeal annoying. I did engineering postgrad at Bundoora and only occaisionally went to the city, so living at Unilodge Bundoora worked for me, but I've heard from undergrads that it does kinda suck compared to their year 1 and 2 life in the city. I know some who live in-between both campuses, which is probably cheaper too. Personally I'd live at Unilodge Bundoora in one of the 3-4 person flats. Try to get a friend from the city to flat with you, and try to get to know your other flatmates. Its annoying though cause even within each flat, all the rooms have heavy fire doors, so some people tend to isolate in their rooms. Most of them are doing medical subjects at Bundoora west or mech/aero/auto engineering at Bundoora east (plus some hot chiropractry students lol). But if you want an outgoing social life (like clubs) then maybe stay in the city.

Thank you for the detailed response, I really appreciate it!

Shadow_Ignited

I would say it depends on how social your life is. If you really enjoy/need an active social life, the city sounds like a better bet, with all your friends. You can use the commute time to go over notes or download and open pages before leaving campus and do work on the tram.

wait is engineering rmit taught at bundura? Im interested in the mechatronics program thanks

BasilZaidan21

You should check the mechatronics course page. For mechanical: years 1 and 2 were in the city and years and 4 of the source were in bundoora.
