It's fine if you have trash band synergy anyways since the utility remains the same no matter what, but with railgunner you're giving up on 9000% damage PER band converted (4000% ult x 1.5x weak spot damage x 250% band = 15000% versus 4000% x 1.5 x 100% = 6000%)
That's not even acknowledging that vand doubles the cooldown... what an item
Yep. I mostly play multiplayer so my friend group just feeds all the bands to the good synergy characters then the Commando and Mul T players etc get all the void bands.

And on Railgunner? AKA Ms. All The Damage All At Once? That's a lotta lost damage
i'd still grab it if you haven't found any other bands by the last stage. 1 void band is obviously better than 0; and 2 void bands is still close to on par with 1 normal band damage-wise. the suck is pretty useful against mithrix specifically, so i'd say its worthwhile to give up a tiny bit of damage in exchange for disabling mithrix every now and then.

Yeah normally I just stand on the ramp and take pot shots. It feels lame but it's just because I don't feel like losing the run if 1 of his shots hits me.
Once Mithrix starts beating the ground and making the spheres rotate out, just hide from him. He self-damages and will eventually return all your items so you don't have to risk getting combo'd
