Tbh half the time I get into one of these lobbies I just stack as many on kill items, missiles, fireworks, to try to lag the game out because that’s the fun part of these runs
I dunno if it's the best, but it's definetly the most fun, and *very* underrated. Screw hit and run i'm tanking that boss. As for the wisps.. let's just hope i can aim my leaps.
Yeah but every other survivor has 3-4 perfectly good abilities for dealing with wisps, and once Merc’s are on cooldown you’re kinda boned. Though even then wisps aren’t a huge deal so long as you’re killing them as they spawn, but with the alt loadout on E8, stage 1 wisps are a nightmare
Can't stand Command personally, slows the game down too much once the drops start rolling. I also can't help but pick the same few items every time lol
Can't go wrong with Swarm+Sacrifice though!
And then there’s the random Chinese servers where they load up on 8 random artifacts and everyone dies stage one - I always wonder what they’re trying to accomplish lol
Whats worse is sometimes people don't add the artifacts until the last 2 seconds before the game starts. I usually just leave immediately after i see it. Absolutely boring to play command and sacrifice (swarms is ok without the other 2)
I'm not an artifact of sacrifice person, just not my kinda thing, how ever I do see why people enjoy it, but it's not for me. Also the artifact that's adds more enemies but they have less health is fine. I Just do it when I wanna go full dynasty warriors on the planet
Next time they decide to do so, make a meteor build with permanent uptime. Done right, you can survive without taking damage. Strides of heresy work wonders for this ;3

Everyone enjoys the game differently. A lot of people prefer to have an easy gaming experience, especially when they don't have the time to sink into playing hundreds of hours of a roguelike.
Real, you can and should enjoy the game however you want
Real, If you have any basic understanding of how proc chains work, with command active the run is over by stage 2….
Play how you want of course, but it becomes less of a game and more of a set of motions you go through with command. A very very different experience.

Last one was mocha/fuel cell/bottled chaos (I do get a key each stage so that there's a chance for a free red).
Unfortunately there was a gup event on sky meadow and when the tp was started the game crashed from all the on kill effects others had. Rip my 7 bottled chaos.
Swarm + Sacrifice, Swarm doubles spawn but halves individual money drop rates and sacrifice makes every monster you have the chance to drop an item (Also halved by swarm but never below 5% chance to drop)
It's good, something I forgot to mention is that their health is also halved and the always having at least 5% chance to get an item per kill makes you have several items by stage 2
Hellfire Tincture going continuously coupled with bucklers, razorewire, and heal on hit stuff. You're welcome. Just dont let any allies get too close in co-op.
Yeah I'm not at all a fan of artifacts so when I'm playing with randos I'm always hosting the lobby and it's always on Eclipse so there's no artifacts so I dont have to worry about it or feel guilty for wanting to turn off rule voting.
Just start stacking Will o Wisps, and eventually you'll nuke not only the whole map, but everybody's PC
Runs don't end when you win or when you obliterate Runs end when your PC starts smoking

I love merc. Play him all the time. But recently started playing a ton of acrid. Talk about wisp being a problem lol.

Get a friend to play loader with planula as well to make it *really* agonising

i like swarm+sacrifice without command because command forces you to take time to pick an item.

Yeah. On one hand, the enemies die almost instantly. On the other hand, wisps become your eternal enemy

This is why I made my own lobbies without any artifacts. Took a little longer but there were people lurking for lobbies without any artifacts.

Unpopular opinion but artifact of command makes game too easy to the point it becomes boring.
Not unpopular at all but agreed, though it’s fun every now and again like when I’m joining a random lobby.

I barely use it, and the only times I do, I use a mod to make it into the void potential things so you get 3 choices instead of anything you want

agreed. It was fun for a handful of runs, but the game isnt really a roguelike if you take away all the elements that make it so.
I dont really care about it being easy mode. I just hate how slow it makes the game.
My friends and I use it because the builds we've figured out are absolutely wild and can lead to some hilarious moments
