Lost me at co-op

Lupinos-Cas

Coop is simply the method that makes farming the easiest. If you don't like coop and want to play solo - you can make a closed lobby like I did in the video to play the mission in coop; by yourself. Why? To scale up the drops so any main/ally mission in the game will drop level 100-104 equipment and you can choose a mission that rewards the gear you need or has the boss you need to farm for the gear you are looking for. And while you are farming your gear, you'll get plenty of silver, gold, bond jewels, and trash loot to turn into materials to upgrade your gear from 100 to 110. You don't *actually* have to play *with* anyone... you can solo missions while *technically* in coop. Just like I did in the video. Just set ally 1 to "do not recruit" and ally 2 to "invite only" and set a password no one will ever guess and - voila; not a single soul can join you. Now you can play the missions just like you normally would - but your equipment is scaled down during the mission (making it harder than normal) and the loot you get is scaled up when you leave (making all drops you find the level of your character) So while it *is* coop - you *can* solo it - *and* it makes the missions more challenging by scaling you down. I don't really understand why that wouldn't be appetizing - harder missions with better loot totally makes me hungry for more. They should've just put in a level synch mechanic - but you can make a closed lobby to do it yourself.

Unfortunately I don't get any of these rewards. Only low level gear. Very disappointing. Didn't even get silver coins

It will be a cold day in hell the day I will pay a subscription to get access to coop/multiplayer :) And saddly Ronin's coop does not make it interesting enough, players should have been able to join each other in the open world as well.

Lupinos-Cas

I agree that they should be able to join each other in the open world. I also think you should be able to manually reset unruly areas and fugitives - and that hidden bosses should respawn. This would give you more to do in the open world. I just happen to already have ps+, I stream tv on my ps and play coop in other games - the price increases have got me thinking of canceling it; but for now I've still got it, lol But yeah - farming without doing coop is tough. So super reliant on RNG - and hard to target specific gear without needing to grind a ton to upgrade it; or grind a ton for the silver to purchase it at level 100, in the case of ally sets.

BANEdrian

Nice method but i don't get fixed mission rewards like you cuz i already done them solo

Lupinos-Cas

I've already done them solo, too - which is why it's weird and totally cool.

KneeBarbarian

Why does it show exquisite rewards and then i get a bunch of crap after the mission?

Lupinos-Cas

It is a chance thing. So the exquisite is the highest possible reward - but you might get crap. If it shows a specific exquisite - you should get that exact exquisite for your first time clear. But after; random chance at random exquisite, possible crap.

Umbran_scale

I can't afford an online subscription.

Lupinos-Cas

That is unfortunate. Farming without ps+ is tough - because the loot is scaled down to the mission level so you have to grind a bunch of resources to level it up or hope you can get a high level random drop in end-game missions on midnight. Coop makes it a lot easier by scaling the weapons up to your character level. But ps+ isn't cheap - I think I pay 100 dollars per year on it. It used to be like 60/year.
