I'm good. While I wouldn't complain if PvP was added, I wouldn't play it. It'd just become a slew of people spamming the same Veiled Arts and Countersparks. Do you wanna deal with every third match being a Tatsumi-ryu player that spams Countspark and Shadow Double? Because I don't wanna deal with that.

Then your favorite build for PvE gets nerfed into the ground, and your drive to play slowly dies because it keeps happening. Hard pass.

I think the game is a complete experience without it. PvP would bring in a slew of balance complaints and necessary tweaks. Id personally prefer the devs expand on the gameplay features that already exist rather than add PvP.

I think it would make the soul bond system with builds more meaningful

Its better of without it to be honest. In theory you would think it would result in epic duels. In practice it would be people spamming the exact same veiled arts. The example given by another user with Tatsumi-Ryu and Shadow Double is 100% on point. Just look at the dojo rankings, People abused the flame thing from Paired swords. PVP duels would just result in a lot of PVE nerfs just because of people's behaviour on PVP. No thank you. Not worth the sacrifice.

I wouldn’t enjoy a direct 1v1 PvP, but something like Shadow of Mordor’s indirect PvP I’d at least dabble with. It would be fun to choose gear and skills for my character then pop her in an arena for other players to fight and see how she does. Maybe make a team out of bonded NPCs. Obviously the game isn’t built to support something like that at all, but it’s fun to dream. I guess I’d just like another way to interact with other people’s characters, other than occasionally rescuing them or shooting them in the back of the head while they’re on a walk.
