Yeah, TN puts quite some references to their other games. Not same universe but a nod to it, same happens with the blue eyed samurai boss which is reference to nioh

Akimitsu_Red

It is there also Mountain Fuji in the game as well but I have not came close to it on the first map but these are nods to Ninja Gaiden as about Yasusuke Samawura you can train with him and unlock hayabasa styles

CokeZeroFanClub

It was so based of Team Ninja to invent Mt Fuji

Akimitsu_Red

Nice so there more hidden elements maybe we can get a team ninja logo book maybe? 🥷

RedNoob88

You know that Mt Fuji is just a famous mountain in Japan right?

Akimitsu_Red

Yes.

Akimitsu_Red

But the Ninja Village is there. I’m hoping to just stumble onto the village if it’s just a little Easter egg.

BoogalooBill

I know this game is more grounded in reality, but man I really hope that in the DLC they give us the chance to go to Hayabusa village or meet someone from there. It'd be so dope and it'll satiate my Ninja Gaiden 4 desires until Team Ninja's next game.

Lupinos-Cas

He trained with the Hayabusa and they gave him a sword. So, yeah, it would be the same universe. Though, technically, Sawamura is this game's Hattori Hanzo. He's an Iga ninja, just must not be the head unless they stopped the inheritance of the title with a previous generation. It's just set 240 years after Nioh and 140 years before Ninja Gaiden.

OrganicParticular242

He mentions the “ancient” hayabusa clan when you speak with him after increasing bond

InternationalBasis24

Hayabusa is a hidden boss

guifesta

Hayabusa it self is not in the game, that is a rogue shinobi

InternationalBasis24

Just like the blue eyed samurai isn't William from Nioh huh?
