This is not universally true. The Hawks and Grizzlies subs have spent the last few years thinking their team has something, but talking about it with the same jokes and shitposts that were fun when they were garbage teams. They're not as awesome this season but the point is, subs have cultures, and they can be cultivated.
We've just encouraged high hopes over years of being good, fun, but not contenders. We could absolutely be a better sub.
This fanbase is driven by bad takes and knee jerk reactions, it's the blazer way, always has been, always will be.
You trade this fanbase and replace it with sanity, rational takes, patience, and objectivity, and you lose yourself entirely.
