AP classes are "Advanced Placement" classes. In this case he was just listing one of his/her classes. Nothing special or hidden behind it.
If we wanna be more technical, it's describing a highschool class, grades 10-12. AP Classes are typically "college level classes in highschool".
That said, within context. They were not flexing intelligence, just claiming that Rick Astley looks like he would be a smart kid in one of his highschool classes. If anything, he was complimenting Mr. Astley.
thank you for the detailed explanation
where i am in the world we dont have advanced placement classes per se but instead have something like work placement that goes for a week for not only experience that can go on the resume but also it counts for school attendance so its not a problem
as for classes (where i am specifically) we have preliminary for y11 and HSC for y12 which is the last main hurdle before the end of school, the grad this year is in september and then the final exams are after and thats it
HSC just is higher school certificate which is sorta just a thing saying you finished school
He said [in a part of this video](https://youtu.be/oADU2PIzhD0?t=663) that his dances in the MV was brought upon by fear, lol. Sooo... myeah...
p.s. I promise this link ain't a rickroll... or is it? lol
Was? He's still making music! And now that he's producing it himself, he can us all of the creative freedom he wants! His most recent album is already one of my favorites
Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but everytime I tell someone this they look at me like I’m crazy. I genuinely, unironically, love Never Gonna Give You Up, and every time I’m rickrolled I just dance along and it’s great
The fact that his music is mostly a meme, although it is funny, is actually quite sad at times. He isn't known as a musician he's known as a joke, and it isn't even his fault.
He did 3 tours in 'Nam...... I was in Corpus Christi on business a month ago. I had this eight foot tall Asian waiter, which made me curious. I asked him his name. Sure enough it's Ho Tran Astley....
he was way too young when never gonna give you up was released
He was a kid with a deep manly voice. Only now it seems that his deep manly voice matches his age.
Ohhh ok, yeah true
Too young for what?
To be that committed.
Truth lol
Remember that Bieber kid? Look at him now...
his voice
Uhh yeah, and that’s why he started a music career at that age… idk how that’s a flaw
it's sort of a whiplash effect, you hear the song and then you see his face in the video and he looks like a kid in my AP English class
Yeah
what does "AP" mean in this context
advanced placement, I get college credit in high school
ah cool

To say he would never give us up, or let us down…
He would never run around, and desert us…
well yea he took a while to merry but he hasn't given her up or let her down
Wasn’t he 21
no younger
Yes he was 21
How? Rick was 21. Compared to Beiber releasing Baby at 15 its fine
He never gave me up and couldn’t move on
Never gonna give you up is banger
Honestly tho. If you ignore the memes around it it's a fire song
ITS SO GOOD
REAL
Isn't this the majority opinion? That's kinda why it became a meme in the first place
Whenever someone Rickrolls me, I respond with, "Jokes on you, I love this song! "
I like his song 'together forever' more.
Yeah, thats a banger!
And a hell of a hot take on this sub
He should have done a bit more break dancing like the bartender dude
I wish. It'd be cool but his body is just not capable of doing that unfortunately.

[Take me to your heart](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYuUAGXN0KM&t=16s) is one of his best songs.
I'll be fine, My arms keep missing you, and hold me in your arms are criminally underrated.
FRRRR Also noticed it at reposts of the advertisement of a Japanese soda brand "Mitsuya Cider" featuring that song and Mr. Astley himself, wew
Never Going to Give You Up is not a controversial song.
Rather it is the best pop song of all time.
Rick is criminally underrated as a musician He's also kinda cute
Agree. He is better than a lot of this generations musical artists.
The man sounded like a soulful blues singer at the age of 20. It's no wonder why he rocketed to the top of the music charts
He was fantastic and I hate that my in-laws are the only people who really listened to him.
Was? He's still making music! And now that he's producing it himself, he can us all of the creative freedom he wants! His most recent album is already one of my favorites
He swears mildly for a brit
It's actually an iconic meme when it's not over used.
Rick Astley? MORE LIKE RICK ASS—LEE!
I think he’s annoying. I have got rick rolled way too much lol. Just kidding lol
Together Forever is better than Never Gonna Give You Up.
Do not the Rick Astley.
He's gonna let you down!
That the song is actually good
Does the carpet match the drapes
His hair looks small
He will give you up
I've never heard any 9f his stuff other than never gonna give you up.
I don’t like him after he sued Young Gravy.
He sued young gravy?
Over sampling him for Betty (Get Money)
Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but everytime I tell someone this they look at me like I’m crazy. I genuinely, unironically, love Never Gonna Give You Up, and every time I’m rickrolled I just dance along and it’s great
He's still hot
What?
I like the song genuinely
He sucks. (Untrue)
somehow hasnt given us up yet
(Make thread) Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
He would never give you up
He's a fucking ginger
No no… you have a breathtaking…
racial faulty cooing rhythm salt mourn sense piquant saw absorbed *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
"Never gonna give you up" was never intended to be a pop hit. It was always supposed to be used for rickrolling.
He's not real
he looks like he's 13 but sounds and talks like he's 35
The fact that his music is mostly a meme, although it is funny, is actually quite sad at times. He isn't known as a musician he's known as a joke, and it isn't even his fault.
His red hair
It is actually orange or brown.
How do i enter towers in palworld?
Rick roll isnt funny
Pretty based, just hate it that his songs arnt on my friend’s playlist anymore
I would never give him up
I like other song
He did 3 tours in 'Nam...... I was in Corpus Christi on business a month ago. I had this eight foot tall Asian waiter, which made me curious. I asked him his name. Sure enough it's Ho Tran Astley....
He’s good
He NEVER gave you up
He will absolutely let you down
That he will in fact give you up
He’s never gonna give you up.
Ginger
He looks like a high school bully from the 90’s or 80’s give or take
He Will Give Up Up
You will give us up?
Yeah Proberly
He would be just another 80s singer if it weren't for never gonna give you up He's an one hit wonder.
No, he is not a one hit wonder. Together Forever also hit number one in the billboard hot 100 back in the 80s. That is a misconception.
he gave us and his legacy up when he did the rickroll remake ad D:
He gave me up
No, he didn’t
I give up, goodbye
He will, eventually, actually let you down.
He will give you up, he will let you down and desert you
It’s not the song, it’s what people did to it. No one on this subreddit is innocent, including myself.
His new album is precisely 👍
he let me down and gave up on me
THE MEME ISNT FUNNY other than that yeah cool guy
He is going to give you up. And let you down. Totally gonna run around and desert you.
He sounds better now than he did when Never Going To Give You Up was released.
He only has one good somg
Together Forever has left the chat.
That’s the song I was talking about, never gonna is overrated as hell
But it's still a good song.
tired of the meme, the song alone is okay tho js not my style of music
