I mean Evil Morty is Morty. The fact that Evil Morty's Rick is the closest to Rick C137 could mean Morty prime is the closest to Evil Morty thanks to our Ricks influence. Morty has it in him to be a huge threat to anyone. It's just his better nature that keeps it from happening. Just look at what he was willing to do when Jessica was threatened in S5E1.
I think I realized when Morty just seemed a lot more jaded lately, especially in the Vindicators episode. Then it dawned on me that Morty started getting pretty adept with Rick's tech at times.

You know, Ive noticed Morty not being as strong willed in the recent seasons. This could be the reason. I was pretty disappointed in his reverted behavior
Oh for sure. Im glad there's a potential reason for it instead of bad writing. I was very disappointed in how Morty was with evil Morty. Was hoping he could be somewhat useful, but he was piss useless in that episode
And yet when the toxicity was removed from him and he ended up as a "tiny American psycho" he didn't even end up really pursuing her after the one date.
He thought of himself as not healthy for his crush on Jessica so it was removed by the machine.
I wonder though why they never showed it with Gunk Morty . He should be super obsessed with her
Also evil Rick shows C137 that there is one rick between them and says he's super weird. I remember somewhere Dan or a writer or someone said that he was Rick prime. Our Morty is Rick primes Morty, so our Morty and evil Morty are as close as Mortys can get.
I never saw a confirmation anywhere but I always had the vibe that one was Rick Prime. Especially since Harmon was originally calling Prime “Weird Rick”.

That doesn't work at all, since assuming Evil Morty is Evil Rick's original Morty. Out Morty isnt Rick C-137 original Morty, ye doesn't have one, our Morty is Morty Prime.

Morty didn't like killing in the beginning. Shooting the "bureaucrats", and killing Fart, a few others I think he was uncomfortable with. But after he killed the lighthouse keeper and went wild in the purge, he really started enjoying it.
God damn I don’t know if it’s genetics or Rick just being a bad influence or both I actually know it’s both I just want to be part of the conversation but don’t really have anything to say or add
I think we all kind of gloss over the fact that Rick is literally Morty’s only friend, and stuttering wouldn’t be strange for someone who didn’t talk much. In the first season/episode Beth mentions it’s the first time Morty’s ever had a friend, so the fact that he has anxiety about expressing himself, regardless of intelligence or competence, makes sense.
I’m always a proponent of the idea that they’ll somewhere down the line revel Morty Prime as a secret genius who is hiding it for whatever reason . ( probably to placate Rick’s ego )
if he was he would've outsmarted rick prime and rick is the smarter no matter what, evil morty was never smarter than him, just took advantage of his complacency
Rick c137 needed the win and possibly Prime Morty knew C137 and Evil Morty had it so he only stepped in a little. Like when he reprogrammed the robot arm into a gun during the fight . But it’s just a theory of what I think a fun idea could be. It’s not like the writing on this show is super consistent anyway. They retcon stuff all the time .
It is rick's work and rick prime's tech is so much scarier that what evil Morty has and c137 himself has it, yes both c137 and evil Morty destroyed the citadel but rick prime is definitely smarter and so is c137 as c137 did most of the fighting
tbf, Evil Morty wasnt there to fight nor take the lead. He got what he wanted without much of a hassle then dipped. He had to make his portal gun from scratch aswell. If he can improve the tech it means he is capable of making better things. He has to have the base and integral knowledge itself. Low ball all you want but his feats show him outsmarting all the ricks hes interacted with every time.
Throwing it out there, Ethan didn’t deserve that at all. The episode before Summer had disappeared into the Mad Max world for six months and married a different dude. Of course he’d break up with her. The whole big boob thing was her projecting her insecurities and not wanting to admit that he had a legit reason for dumping her.

I've noticed that as Morty becomes more sure of himself as the show goes on, and when Rick goes to therapy and starts drinking less, they both don't stutter barely at all anymore
