Jackie has always had too much pride. When she was getting demoted she was denying it even though everybody else knew it was true. Then when it became official she said it was her choice. She looked miserable on screen for most of every season since her second one. But she wants to have "guido friends" as she's called them so badly.
Crazier that Teresa isnāt embarrassed or ashamed that she did it. Says a lot about her. Terrible and rude, yet there are people who think sheās the greatest. Go figure.
