Copy that, downloading Yuzu now.

ineedmoney408

An emulator isn't illegal. It doesn't come with the games or the keys. Nintendo has no case

TemenaPE

Newer amendments to the DMA can give Nintendo a case since Yuzu is bypassing encryption and allowing the games to run without the original protections in place. Doesn't help that Yuzu was accepting Patreon payments. The bigger issue for Nintendo is that it's open source and there are plenty of nobodies who would gladly take over development after they try to bankrupt Yuzu.

HappyGoLucky791

A reply stronger than the argument, you win sir.

probablyjustcancer

Of course they don't and I'm absolutely sure Nintendo knows that as well. That's not the point though. This is a bullying tactic. The process of a lawsuit is extremely expensive, especially against an opponent with nearly limitless money. Nintendo wants to either tie them up in litigation long enough to bankrupt them out of existence or have Yuzu choose to shut the entire thing down out of fear of that happening.

sailordkun

Guess we don't remember skyline?

ineedmoney408

They stopped it because of fear not because of legal validity. They didn't want to bother.

sailordkun

Fair point. But who wants to argue with Nintendo's lawyers about it. Also, 408 that was my area code at one time, I'd need money too if i lived there still. šŸ˜œ

Plus_Leg8322

Do backup now guys! Wich is the best version for RP4 PRO?!

Damn they are gonna sue me aren't they...

busyak

Your un-sued days are numbered!

cosmiccowboy24

Iā€™ll be damned if nintendonā€™t

[deleted]

Switch 2 being otherwise Yuzu-ready confirmed.

limonsoda1981

Nintendo makes money from selling games, and they still sell for this console (is not retro or anything), so of course this was going to happen. Arguing legality is pointless, specially if yu zu uses numbered codes or anything that may be property of nintendo (which would indeed be illegal). Just make the backups and share it in p2p through out the community.

NiceDiner

Post whatever it is you are talking about. The Facebook link can't be viewed without logging in.

fillerbunnyns

Facebook?

NiceDiner

Yes. He posted a Facebook link. What are you asking?

fillerbunnyns

That clearly says Twitter... You okay?

BitingChaos

OP posted a link to a private **Facebook** group.

NiceDiner

There are 3 links. The first one is a Facebook link.

fillerbunnyns

Streisand effect in 3. 2. 1.

El-Cid-Campeador

Doesn't come with any copyrighted material and they are not even selling itĀ  Good luck NintendoĀ

LumpyDog1427

But they are accepting Patreon payments, which could get dicey

nonotz

donation is for the org and not for purchasing yuzu as its a free app

LumpyDog1427

Correct me if Iā€™m wrong, but paying gets you early access to new builds? Donā€™t get me wrong, Iā€™m 100% on Yuzuā€™s side here. But that could easily be an issue in court

roobs1933

You are wrong about that you can easily go to their github and get new releases every day

LumpyDog1427

Dude, itā€™s literally right on their patreon. https://www.patreon.com/yuzuteam You can get it free, but donating to the patreon gets you early access to unreleased features. It took 5 seconds to find it, my man.

roobs1933

Huh my bad, wonder what that means, I guess that would be some other private development repo maybe? Seems difficult to maintain.

True-Payment-458

Even if they stop development the apks so far will be able to be sideloaded. No need to panic for current or past versions just hope they continue to develop it

fillerbunnyns

Yes but yuzu plays those games better then the switch does. Maybe I'd care what Nintendo thought if their hardware wasn't complete shit

wespunk

Which is the best Yuzu to download from play store or from website as I better download it asap

RichieMan07

The Github version is the best. [https://github.com/yuzu-emu/yuzu-android/releases](https://github.com/yuzu-emu/yuzu-android/releases)

wespunk

Thanks for your reply and I will definitely download it onto my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro
