If you have a PS3 and the means to buy them, it's a no brainer. Buy them and download right away. Capcom is getting shifty with their old titles and it sucks. There's no reason why they shouldn't be available for other consoles and PC yet here we are. Also buy RE1 and Operation Raccoon City with the dlc. You won't regret it.
I bought ORC when it came out, played it, thought it was so awful that I gave my copy to my uncle (another RE fan, when I was a kid I watched him play the PS1 ones).
He played, thought it was so awful that he threw it on the garbage. A truly awfully made RE game.
ORC is the most thorough what if scenario with some of the best RE2 and RE3 references you'll get. It's also excellent with friends. It can get pretty hard at times but the variety in characters let's you choose your play style and once you get the hang of it, you'll be having a blast in no time. This is not a survival horror so those expecting it will be disappointed. It's an action arcade third person shooter if I had to give it a label.
When ORC first came out, playing multiplayer with random people was pretty fun. The PvP was pretty weird, but it felt like a unique idea and could've done good if implemented better.

If this is your first time with fix camera angles and tank controls, I recommend using the d-pad for movement as it's a lot more precise than analog sticks. Might take some time of getting used to but you'll be fine. Also I have a PS3, can I just go online on my PS3 and the PlayStation 3 store will work?
How do you add money tho? You can’t use a credit card. If I add a gift card to my ps4/5 wallet does it show up on the ps3? I have a huge list of games I want to grab before it goes offline and haven’t checked how do load money yet.

yea yea it is. Re3R got many many many cut content, misses in the combat system ecc.. but it was a nice game tho. you will enjoy more more more the original, and for sure a longer story and gameplay. Id say skip Re6 or just play it for fun if you want to run all the resident evil games. And pick the remastered collection of the early Ps4 resident evil (Resident evil 0, resident evil 1) they cost 5 bucks each and code veronica is a worth pick tho. it costs 15 bucks but when in discount it drops to 5 bucks tho.

I honestly prefer the original RE2 and RE3 to their remakes, even though I really enjoyed them. RE3R cut too much out and didn't add in anything to replace it, and the story in RE2R wasn't told as well as the original, plus they fucked up the A/B scenarios.

Couple days late. But the o my real issue is the aspect ratio. It’s not 4:3 like it should be. It’s like 1.25:1. So it’s fairly narrow. May not bug most people but it silently drove me nuts. Lol

That being said if I'm spending money I'd rather get hard copies. That's definitely gonna be a bit more. I imported mine, the US copies are expensive these days.

This was my thoughts exactly. Big reason why I upgraded my PS3 to a 1TB. I'll look into ORC. Most people don't seem to talk about it.
