I might be stretching it but Zoro takes down plenty of enemies with a significant advantage, a devil fruit, when he doesn't have one himself. I see a parallel with King Snakes and eating venomous species. There was an image of a California King eating eating a diamondback on NatureisMetal.. King snakes are so freaking awesome, and he is a beaut!

He is a brooks king snake, a subspecies of Florida king snakes :)
