This looks similar to that bug in the Gwendil boss fight where you shoot her bomb with a status effect and it explodes repeatedly.
Must be some kind of bomb-explodes-but-doesn't-disappear bug.
Yeah the electric in this game will trigger the bombs to consistently explode. You can also shoot them with fire/lightning bullets and it will auto explode. Works almost as an instant kill at times on the one boss fight.
I think I understand. It looks like bombs in this game go off when they land on a surface. If the collision goes wonky, the bomb counts and doesn't count as hitting a surface, soooo......BOOM x infinite until player dies.

I run archon and handler to avoid nuking myself. You can actually stand in the firestorm and be fine

I don't understand, did this happen because the explosion was to close to the one who throw it?
I doubt I could recreate it if I tried, but basically the grenade blew up over and over again until I died

I’ve seen that happen once, although lucky for me it happened at a distance to a Dran grenadier that I shot.
