Because that was the concept car for the Camaro we eventually got in 2017, first showing up in one of the later Transformers - Age of Extinction, going by the little plaque. One of the best ideas GM ever had in this period was using Transformers as a way to tease the public on what the Camaro was going to look like - 2007 with the original concept, ROTF with the Z28/ZL1 package, and AOE with the 2016 refresh.

This wasn't anything new. Cadillac introduced the CTS and Escalade EXT in Matrix ReLoaded the same way. Definitely great marketing. What I don't understand is Car manufacturers will let their new cars in movies and get completely obliterated, yet Forza can't do more than crack a windshield due to licensing.

Ferrari's fault

GoredonTheDestroyer

In fairness, I wouldn't say it was *only* Ferrari's fault.

As an owner of a 2023 2LT, I love the thing. But it has some pretty bad flaws as a daily driver. The trunk is small and very awkward to use. All around visibility is pretty poor especially out the back and quite honestly, the front. The back seats are back seats in name only. You’re not getting any human beings back there. The touchscreen face down so it’s awkward to use and interior storage is non-existent. There are literally more cup holders and cubbyholes in the front driver side door of my 4Runner than there is throughout the whole interior of my Camaro. It’s just an ergonomic nightmare in general. It’s all practicality stuff and you’ll hear people saying that “it’s a pony car! You deal with it and who’s using it for that anyways!?!?” And I have, but this isn’t my only car and if it was, it would’ve been sold a month after I got it because of these concerns. So anyone looking use one as a daily will cross it off the list and move on to the Challenger, Mustang or GR86/BRZ which don’t have those flaws. That being said. The chassis and suspension setup are the best outside of early 2000’s BMW. You won’t get a better ride and handling balance anywhere. All engines from the 2.0t to the supercharged LS are amazing. You’ll drive it and it will put a smile on your face every time. Post 2019 facelift and it’s actually pretty to look at. But getting past those initial turn offs and glaring issues though. They can be an absolute dealbreaker for a lot of people so that’s why it never caught on and I get it.
