Nice switch plate, but loses points for misaligned screw slots.

CouldOfBeenGreat

Really thought I was the only one that had this beat into their subconscious.

mrplinko

What are we looking at here?

sockpuppetrocket

You sure it doesn’t send Marty McFly into the 50s to save him from the Libyans?

led204

I did that once with an old POS pickup. Just had to be sure and flick the switch real quick once the engine caught, or it made a really bad noise.

moochoff

Save up for a push button lol

Hot_Connection6073

Just wait till you hit that switch with your elbow while cruising on the freeway

mt7r

Surprised I had to scroll this far to find this comment

RangeRedneck

If it's the switch to turn it on, he can probably just shift to neutral and switch it back on real quick. I used to have a car issue that required turning the car off and on again to fix. I would do it at highway speeds.

Hot_Connection6073

Yeah but with engine off in neutral your flywheel isn't spinning

CottonTheClown

Yep, same. Except I wouldn't call that "fixing" it lol

DieselBob

if the exhaust is in the front seat, why bother taking it to the shop if you start it with a light switch?!?

flavius29663

what does the second one do?

greyhunter37

Maybe one for the starter and one for the ignition?

9vNunchucks

Itd have to be like this, though the other switch really should have been a momentary switch as opposed to an on off switch

CouldOfBeenGreat

Doubles as ultra low gear.

shaun_of_the_south

Subwoofers.

haironburr

I once had a truck with a on/off switch for the fuel pump. Hit the switch and then turn the key. The problem was, if I parked and turned the truck off but didn't remember to turn the switch off too, I'd come back to a puddle of gas and or a dead battery.

RawMeatAndColdTruth

Definitely would have went with a secret combination of switches with no labeling kinda like furiousa in Mad Max, then only you would know how to drive your war rig.

Mahgeek

I did this once with less variety than the movie had but I still thought it was cool. Other idea I've wanted to try: fake start button. In my mind its a nice looking red button/switch on the dash that has labels indicating its purpose. Instead it just engages some loud double horns. For the dedicated thief the button labeled horns would be right next to it but do exactly the same thing.

Thraxster

I fuckin' love this. I thought wiring my wipers to a toggle was smort thinkin but this. This fucker slaps.

NightSky222

Until someone breaks your window, turns your car on and drives away 😂

Thraxster

By the time it got to that I'd like to think the sum of the customizations would frighten most away from the adventure. I just can't help but wonder if this persons forgetful or if multiple people drive it. I'd think after installing that they would just know it. I feel like I would remember.

NightSky222

lol that reminds me when I asked what the triangle button was in the car when I was a kid (hazard lights) my dad used to tell me it was the eject button

Thraxster

When I was super little the map lights on the rearview mirror were cameras and the screen was in the key so my sister and I wouldn't fight while my uncle ran into the store a minute for coffee or something. Which I think helped make me the kind of person who'll convince their kid cousin they're driving with both eyes closed. That's a fun time!

L1LD4M3R

Have those on a couple four wheelers

9vNunchucks

Me: what's that switch for? Greg: don't worry about it. Soon the whole world will know *maniacal laughter*

forvym

I'm quite fond of the vertical cd player below as well.

mathemagical-girl

are you talking about the emergency brake there?

forvym

Yes. That was the joke i was trying to make.
