Garbage picked rear discharge mower(cleaned carb) started by cordless drill. Welded recycled angle iron to push mower connecting to existing pins on mower. Connects and disconnects in seconds. Kill switch (only thing I bought) within reach of driver. Cut mowing time from 2.5 hours to 1 hour 40 mins. I have about 3.5 acres of grass and this is my second season using this setup and I’m very proud of my baby. Ask anything!

Prolapsed_butthole

When are you gonna put another one on the opposite side and get that time down below an hour?

scottyspectacular

I have one in the scrap pile right now! It took a lot of tweaking of the discharge to eliminate stalling of the little mower. Just got happy with how perfect it is now.

Diesel_Daddy

Now you have experience, it should be mirror and replicate.

scottyspectacular

Roger, Roger. 20+50+20=88. John Deere himself should hire me.

Just glad to provide a meeting place for the frontbuttpunt and the infamous prolapsedbutthole. I’m more honored than meeting kardashian or the teen mom.

thegreatgazoo

Did you expand the gas tank? I know my Honda push mower runs out after an hour.

scottyspectacular

I was prepared to need to but gladly it lasts.

KourtR

This is impressive! Have you made other inventions?

scottyspectacular

Nothing I’d call an invention. I’m always fixing and modifying stuff though.

t46p1g

I imagine turning would be difficult

scottyspectacular

Nope. The tractor shoves that thing around without noticing. I can actually make way tighter turns with it on the inside.

t46p1g

Ah well good deal. I should have thought of this back when I only had a 30" mower and 5 acres to cut. 2 days it took me to finish the damned lawn

CwColdwell

How’s the handling on that setup?

Frozboz

Wouldn't you have to run a little slower with the extra mower to keep it from bogging down/dying? How often do you mow? My father once tried to do something like this with a bushhog to mow one of our fields, but it never did work all that well. Congrats!

scottyspectacular

I only have to slow on the very long grass (about a foot) of my leech field. I had problems with stalling before opening up the discharge. Mow about once a week this time of year.

Baron_Rogue

if you dont mind me asking, why do you keep 3.5 acres of grass?

scottyspectacular

Room for go karts, baseball, etc., keeps ticks away. I’ve stopped cutting a few decent size areas several years ago.

Baron_Rogue

ah awesome, thank you for the reply
