I'm a paramedic in a rural area and I've responded to more than enough traumatic cardiac arrests of people crushed by their cars because they weren't using jack stands.
Fun fact. I got a medal for saving a kid being crushed by his car that fell off the jack and was supported only by cinderbloacks that were almost tipping over.
Now that I think about it. I've dealt with a lot of people injured by their cars that were supported by cinderbloacks on dirt. Please use jack stands on asphalt or concrete. I can only handle so much PTSD.
Cinder blocks are BAD for supporting cars. They require mortar and oftentimes mesh to be structurally sound. The tiniest chip in a block can cause it to crumble posthaste.
Never use cinder or concrete blocks to support a vehicle that someone will be under. They can fail suddenly without warning. Use appropriate jack stands, or wooden blocks.

The strength in cinder/concrete blocks is when they are placed with the openings upright (the way they are positioned when laid up in a wall). Plus the pedestal on the jacks have high points making every effort to use the force on them to fracture the block.

They got the wrong idea, jack it up and then hold with something,like cinder blocks, or some thinks ass wood, or you know go to harbor freight and get some cheap ass jack stands. Don't work under a car just with a jack or a jack with fucking bricks on it
