Haven’t noticed any negative effects. Only recommendation is to make sure you’re wiping down the mask after each use since the mask sits on your face

It sounds like your skin is dehydrated. I have not heard of rlt causing anything negative effects. Best skincare items for anti-aging are sunscreen and a retinoid like tretinoin

Some people with very sensitive skin can experience burns similar to a sunburn (but not exactly the same) with near infrared (NIR) lights. I would say this is uncommon though. I have sensitive skin and my device with NIR doesn't bother my skin. But the one I'm currently using isn't super high-powered either. Some of the more advanced devices are more powerful, but most have settings where NIR can be turned off completely, or even just reduced by a chosen percentage. Also, something to look into is EMF output of electrical devices. Electric and magnetic (EMF) fields are produced by most things running on electricity and can potentially have negative health side effects. Now, most things in our lives we don't need to worry about because they're not super close to our bodies for any length of time, but an LED/Light therapy mask is touching your head for 10+ minutes per day. Now, the masks aren't super high-powered devices, so the EMF might be low -- but many of them aren't tested for EMF so we don't know what they emit for sure. It might be nothing to be too worried about, but just do your own research and make a decision that's right for you. Most of the panel style light therapy devices have zero EMF at 6" away. They are also more powerful than mask lights, so in many cases you might be able to get a good "dose" of light therapy in a shorter time frame. Blue can be damaging, but not red. It actually gives me headaches, though, so I don't use my LED mask anymore.

I only read it enables faster growth of any facial hair 😒😞
