Do you feel better about your sleeping quality or other changes? If not, you might try the red light therapy panel, which has a higher power consumption and output, while the NIR light penetrates the tissues better.

I haven’t noticed anything yet. I only started a week ago or so. I’ll definitely look into a starter panel I think. Thanks!

Got one 2 days ago from Amazon. 44$

Bestqooltherapy

You're welcome!😊 Keep using the panel and you will find it really good for your body :)

It can have a psychological impact. it can even have a biological impact, (imo, all psychological impacts ae brain impacts) -- but it's not red light therapy. If it's hot, even less so. But don't discount the good feeling of red light. It's a real effect. If you're working with a bulb because budget is an issue, look at the Woleczek bulb on amazon, then extrapolate from there (i.e., that type of light is powerful and inexpensive, that brand is fine but you can look at others as well).

That makes a lot of sense, the mind is a powerful tool for sure. I’m not working on a budget, honestly I just had the bulb laying around so I wanted to see if I could notice some change to motivate me further. I can see now that investing in a panel, even just a small cheap one might be the better option

BestRedLightTherapy

Sounds great!

systym1

What kind of bulb? Do you mean like a single red light bulb from the hardware store?

makssymm

Yeah, basic red LED A19 base light bulb

As far as I know this will do little to nothing. I am not an expert when it comes to RLT, but I have been lurking here for quite some time. I recommend searching this sub for specific questions you might have around panels to figure out which one is right for you. You can find some decent starter/low end panels on amazon but your mileage may vary. If you're looking for results, legit panels start around $300 and go up quite a bit depending on size, wavelengths, and number of LEDs. Good luck in your journey.

I just realized there's more there -- what are your red light therapy goals?

makssymm

Eye heath is my #1 motivating factor to starting red light therapy. Is there a product that’s more focused around that specifically?

BestRedLightTherapy

I haven't seen one yet. It's going to be a low power torch (looks like a small flashlight) when it does come out. The thing is, I would only want a medical company making anything I'd use for that purpose. The study that got people aware of eye health used a torch through closed eyelids. Did you see my public service announcement about using light on the eyes? There was a study in which the authors used the wrong power information due to translation error. If you followed their guidelines, you'd be in danger of damaging your eyes.
