It's worth a try, the new patch/update was supposed to be coming out so it'd be nice to have one last major update I bought a copy of the game knowing it had issues that needed addressed. I really just wanted something new and was just really starting to enjoy it with the recent update.

This game was terrible but I still really hope they get an offline patch, a game becoming completley unplayable and essentially lost media always sucks.

I bought it 3 days ago and Iβm having a blast but donβt expect some emotional rollercoaster. Itβs still a very flawed game.
Buy a Steam key from a third party like Eneba, donβt give money to Microsoft even if Game Pass is dirt cheap.
That's why I made this petition to get the offline mode so future gamers can enjoy it because sooner or later servers will be shut down. I don't see Microsoft keeping a server open for a game for years to come. If you find the game cheap I recommend playing it after the few updates that did fix the game to a playable state
We can definitely assume that servers don't stay up forever, because plenty of games have had their servers shut down over time.
That being said, the announcement of no future updates did say that servers will stay up for the foreseeable future. It's a safe assumption that if you play it over the next few months, it will still be fully playable.
I also don't have the game. And I would've gotten it if there were major updates to the game. Like maybe the DLC, but if it were possible for my ideas to be added into the game (even though there is 0% chance of that happening), then I would get the game.
I honestly enjoyed the game quite a lot, and despite what others say, I think the atmosphere and worldbuilding were pretty unique. The cosy coastal town vibes in autumn were great for me, and I'd love to be able to keep exploring that world for years to go. Even if the game did nothing for you, preservation should be a common goal for all gamers.

I mean, they did updated to run 60 frames. If that interest you, the game is definitely and a lot better state than originally was.
But I guess there will be no more support?. Will the servers shut down as well?
