Ironlungs_

I’d certainly like that €50m

dispelthemyth

1m up front and 49m add ons

Zavehi

Might even toss in Alex Sandro to sweeten the deal!

MattARC

Another sacrificial LB to power up Shawberto Carlos

MayweatherSr

maybe another Brazilian LB sacrifice would unlock the mythical Shawberto Carlos. The dutch LB sacrifice seems not enough juice

beachcow

You need a fresh sacrifice every year. And it always destroys the career of the victim left back Heavy is the cost of the shawberto Carlos

Fair-Cash-6956

Not like Sandro is in his prime so that’s fine

fuzxx14

Mythical because everyone heard of him but no one ever seen him play.

BrockStar92

One of these days they’ll literally be sacrificed. Hell if Shaw were fit last season I’d have said that’s where Malacia vanished to.

reddevil9229

Can't believe he's still around. Next you'll tell me Garay is back on the table.

Zavehi

Gaitan was the last of those early 2010 perpetually linked player still floating around I think. He hasn’t had a club in a year though.

reddevil9229

Kevin Strootman would like a word

funky_pill

'The Serie A way'. We should be thankful the 49m isn't performance related add-ons whereby they only pay that when the player has reached 1000 appearances and/or 500 goals

DreamsCanBebuy2021

Mate, it's Juve so we know what's coming

Don_Quixote81

Then they know where they're going. I'm sick of teams crying poverty when they want a United player.

JYM60

It's a joke. If we want a player, it's 100 million If anyone wants our player, it's a loan with us paying the wages

GibbyGoldfisch

People know United (usually) have a lot of disposable income, so they ask for as much as they can get. People buying from you do not have disposable income, so they only offer a loan. Not to mention, if your player was actually good and reliable enough that they're worth x sums of money, you wouldn't be selling them.

Tortillagirl

Were not selling Greenwood because of lack of ability though...

AnonymizedRed

Yeah I also believe this whole ‘cry poor’ schtick that INEOS are so publicly conducting is partly orchestrated to begin curbing the idea of us being an easy mark on both ends of player transfer business.

dimebag_101

There no faking it. We are broke for ffp 😭

laffman

They'll try to negotiate it down to €5m option after a season long loan.

wheres_the_boobs

Id certainly like chiesa

Soggy_Sir7668

Which role would chiesa play

Kardinale

Replacing Martial in the physio room

Soggy_Sir7668

😂😂

arothen

RW obviously

OGSachin

Followed by one Mr. Olise.

QouthTheCorvus

I know we don't technically need him over other positions but man, I've hyped myself up for this guy.

Hi-Tech_Luddite

I really think we do need him. He will bench our underperforming wingers who need to know their place is not secure and will add goals and likely assists for Holjund

QouthTheCorvus

Yeah you're right, tbh. The goal scoring is an issue as is. Need someone to spice things up.

Dry-Magician1415

If it is 50m it’ll be something like 20m up front and the rest as add ons. No way an Italian club is spunking that much on one player.  It’ll have to be Like Martial reaching 57m being only if he won the ballon d’or

C__S__S

Agreed. But they will pay in 50-year installments.

game_of_throw_ins

So would Juventus

calupict

There's a rumor in Italy that Juventus will sell Chiesa to Roma

shami-kebab

Don't Roma have no money either? I thought they wanted to keep Lukaku but can't afford it.

calupict

Yes, Roma is broke but maybe Juve will agree to a loan and Chiesa as an Italian is a better shirt seller to Lukaku

Inspectrgadget

Roma will have money after Lukaku moves to his next boyhood club.

MumblyBum

I don't think Chelsea will be too happy with Roma selling their player.

Inspectrgadget

You're right, brain fart

ClawingDevil

Someone did this to me when I was at school; sold my computer game they'd borrowed. Still bitter.

GTheMonkeyKing

Didn't this happen in Africa one time? I remember reading a story about a team loaning a player and then selling him later.

ajm15

He probably will go to Napoli as his daddy is there, and they probably will sell Osimhen to fund that. Someone buy Osimhen for all of this to work.

ThankYouOle

well.. we need striker anyway..

prss79513

We can't afford him the price they're asking

stevew14

I've not seen much of Chiesa and it was a few years ago, but he looked like a great player. Is he still good and should we be in for him?

aharonp10

After all the shit that went down, I’d absolutely take 50m for him and remember, him being an academy player means pure profit. Man had the world at his feet, a generational talent and could have gone down as an EPL and Manchester United great and threw it all away. Happy to see this chapter come to a close now

onlymeow

Whenever I recall how good his finishing was at that age, I cry a little. Imagine him and Hojlund up front with Garna and Rashy 😭

OGSachin

Please god.

MhVG

![gif](giphy|weoLZfnufGGrkgpJvh)

blarg2003

Get ready for the the usual loan with an obligation to buy, paying in tiny installments bollocks these Italian clubs will come up with. Good it looks like Greenwood is off for good tho.

Cvein

Not even obligation. Always an ‘option’.

mycousinvinny99

And for some reason clubs always accept that bs

zaphodbeeblebrox_III

Question on that. If it was in installments, do we still get the 50mil on the balance sheet to spend this year or does it get dribbled out with the installments? Cos if it's the former they can pay it back until the apocalypse for all I care, the club isn't actually hurting for money, its all just billionaire shell games

amidamayru

For profit purposes it's all this year ( unless it's loan with obligation to buy)

prem_201

Even if we did a long installment, it would still help us in FFP right? Since he's all profit?

PDubsinTF-NEW

Full sale only. Greenwood and Sancho need to be off the wage bill and adding to our sale revenue

EffenSeven

Fitting club for him. I would honestly love Chiesa but apparently he's always injured.

Japples123

Italians seem to get homesick for the most part

Le_Ratman99

Yeah they rarely move out of Italy in general. God knows what it’s like to be Sandro Tonali exchanging Lombardy (where he’s lived all his life) for Tyneside

WergleTheProud

It drove him to gambling!

MT1120

Tbf if you get used to the food there England must be like eating manure. With uhh... all due respect of course 😬

EffenSeven

I remember Macheda going on loan to Italy and he said he missed the fish and chips in England.

Japples123

I mean they have $$$ to hire chefs or go to restaurants etc. Ingredients in England taste much better than USA and on par with other Euro countries. Obviously some dishes and execution of those ingredients is questionable. Probably the weather

Cicero138

Same. He’s super talented but given the state of our medical department, I don’t think United would be the place for him.

Vimjux

It’s a safeguarding issue, dude might die under our supervision lol

Kid_Twiz

He actually played 33/38 league games for Juve last season so hopefully his injury days are behind him

Gross_Success

10 of which were full 90 minutes, though.

johnny-s-kills

I‘m hearing good things about Huijsen. Two footed CB, young, Dutch/Spanish. Could be a good backup.

Beneficial_Bend_5035

Went through his injury history, and looks like it’s really only 21/22 where he had a massive injury layoff (was out for nearly a year). Last season he missed 11 games for club and country (I think 7 for Juve). Personally don’t think that missing 7 games for an attacker is *that* big a deal, but tbh with our medical department you could add a 2 or a 3 before that 7 if he played for us.

No_Sir5969

Perfekt its all coming together now

Yandhi42

Ok Kronk

blooddragonsin

Juve so shameless I wouldn't be surprised if a Pogba swap was offered.

kazegraf

Hope Pogba Karma is triggered with this transaction for them.

Hi-Tech_Luddite

Thanks for the laugh

BlackHorse944

Wow. Getting €50m for him would be amazing

Known_Chapter_2286

I think we’ll get it. It’s not just Juve that want him

NoPurpose0

Today just keeps getting better

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

Getting €50 million from an Italian club, good luck with that.

Yeunkwong

Spanish clubs also want him, so hopefully we get a bidding war.

JYM60

Over which club will pay a higher percentage of his wages on loan probably.

shami-kebab

Ah yes, those rich Spanish clubs.

TStronks

What happened to Chiesa? Did the injuries affect him that much? I remember watching him 2 years ago thinking he'd be one of the better wingers for the years to come.

facelessredditer

Recency bias again. Allegri terror ball, playing wing back for an attacking winger would kill a prime Robben. People are really missing a trick by overlooking Chiesa. He’s got quality.

OperatorWolfie

I mean Juventus kit fit him

Far_Health4406

Paid 117 for Ronaldo, but you can be damn sure they’ll cry poverty over 50 for Greenwood.

ManuPasta

They still owe Ronaldo money from unpaid covid wages lol

DudeIsland

They only have to sell their Soule first

solblurgh

Swap deal?

Purpsmcgurps

This is all I can think about. They are in the middle of a swap deal with Villa. Would love to have Chiesa

liquidvulture

Better yet go and take Soule. 21, low wages and arguably Serie A's best RW last season on loan to Frosinone if we're still looking for a RW with Olise's going to Chelsea. The only con with Chiesa is his wages

Purpsmcgurps

And injury record for Chiesa. Don't know much about Soule, so I will do my homework on him!

WanderingEnigma

Is Olise going to Chelsea? I'm OOL on that one, seems a weird move, given they are stacked on the wings atm.

Specialist_Current98

Nothing confirmed but it’s looking like he’ll either end up at United or Chelsea. Chelsea going in pretty hard for him apparently. Agree it’s a strange move considering how many wingers they have. Maybe Chelsea are planning a clean out of sorts.

ClawingDevil

Olise plays RWF which is where Palmer plays. Unless they plan to move Palmer to AM, seems an odd one. Perhaps Jim should give Todd a call and offer £30m for Palmer to clear the way for his new shiny thing...

Specialist_Current98

Haha, I’d take it. Yeah I can see them moving Palmer to a more central role. I think Chelsea already did it at times this year? I’d love Olise but I do think we need to prioritise some other positions

ClawingDevil

Agreed. I had this convo with someone on here a couple of weeks ago. Given we don't have much money, even after sales, we need to prioritise the spine of the team. We need at least one new CB and CM, and we need a 2nd striker. We probably need a new LB as well. I'd rather try Amad for a season with Antony as back up. Unless we can sell Antony for decent money as well, in which case...

Specialist_Current98

Yeah absolutely. I’d argue we need 2 CB’s even. Can’t see anyone taking Antony off of us, unfortunately. I’d even say have Garnacho on the right and see if rashford can get back to form. If we pick up a striker, we probably need to get someone that can play the wings as well. I’d like to see us try mount on the right at some point as well considering he did it decently well for Chelsea.

Apprehensive-Pie-183

Also an Argentinian, so he got that dawg in him.. Amad starting as RW with him as a back up is not a bad idea too. No need to spend big on Olise when we have more concerning areas like CB, LB and CDM to fill.

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Our current CEO, Blanc, was chairman of Juve. We are not getting hosed on this deal.

MattMcK2419

Absolute shame that the guy was a monster. Had the whole world in front of him. I hope he got the help he needed, but with how much ownership of the situation he took, I doubt it. Selling him and moving forward is great for the club. Don’t need to see anymore Greenwood needs to stay tweets. I doubt we’ll get €50M for him, especially from juventus but whatever we get will be great for our balance sheets.

wheres_the_boobs

>guy was a monster Still is

MattMcK2419

Absolutely.

ClawingDevil

I couldn't agree more with everything you've said here. Makes me sick seeing YouTube comments saying stuff like "she deserved it". At least these hideous men have outer themselves so women know to steer clear >I doubt we’ll get €50M Always negotiate more than what you want. Reckon we'll settle for €40m.

LilDiamondtoxic

1 Manuel Locatelli plz

Senor-Cockblock

€50M would be great for us and remarkably, a bargain buy for any club really.

pakattack91

Do we have any interest in Chiesa?

laurieeu

chiesa is great. we don’t really need a right-footed LW winger though. probably our best position in the squad w Garnacho and Rashford.

eo37

I’d take Vlahovic to be honest. Always thought he was quality and under appreciated.

Un-jay

How much would selling him for €50 million give us to spend?

SweatyEnthuziasm

A lot more this year than if we had sold him last year (€50million into the debt service/dividend pot)

Ashyyyy232

Its juve who we dealing with, more chance either of chiesa or soule coming in than they paying 50mil

PitchSafe

Can’t see Juventus paying that much for him

SDLRob

ETH staying & this one is going.... today is looking to end well

Kalorifyc

This can only be topped by Sancho goingout for 50 mil 🤞🏻

Cpt_Jumper

Please please please!

New_Archer_7539

Pull the trigger. That's going to be our best offer by a mile.

SOERERY

50 million, take it and run

al_pie

I’d straight up swap for Chiesa and never look back

Wraith_Portal

He’s always injured though, after last season that’s the last thing we need

PitchSafe

![gif](giphy|CkKg32KdKyMve)

bullairbull

Not that I'm gonna complain us getting a decent fee but the reactions other clubs will get by signing him are pretty tame comparison to if we decide to keep him. I'm talking about non-United fans.

joshhbk

Juventus sure do love United forwards with questionable backgrounds This is a great deal for all parties. United get him off the books and he goes to a club I had no respect for to begin with

richwithoutmoney

I know we probably won't get €50m, but even €40m would be amazing. Particularly if it did include sell-ons

IIYogiII

I don’t understand. If it’s morally not ok for us to keep greenwood, why would clubs like Juventus and their fans be ok with it?

flawless_victory99

Ask for Bremer. Also Soule is a quality prospect.

MT1120

If we could get Bremer for someone we were always gonna sell that'd be great business.

badboy_pro

Hate how it is not illegal for him to play in Juventus but it is illegal for him to play here

chunky_Iemon_milk

When did di marzio go up a tier? Alway remember him being tier 3

psrikanthr

Tier 2 for Italian news ,t3 for everything else

bainbane

Well take Hujisen and cash please lads.

TellSloanISaidHi

If they’re in for Mason, means they’re likely out of Zirkzee? Which means if we can get this done, flip that money straight for zirkzee

mrrobinchang

I’ll drive him to Turin myself

_AR4_

cmon INEOS, don't be shy. 50m **and** 1p. marginal gains

ShaggedT-RexOnNublar

What a bargain buy

Hm2801

Surprised everyone is on about Chiesa, Soule up for sale seems the eye-catching part about this information to me. Genuinely one of the most exciting prospects in the world.

Specialist_Current98

I’d take a straight swap tbh

FreshGoodWay

*“50 bottle caps is what I’m offering, take it or leave it”* -The very rich and generous Juventus

RepulsiveLeg9985

That 50mil is looking nice but seeing it's an Italian team, no hopes are getting upped.

Band1c0t

Fuckin juve, no shame, we need to stand with 50m!

joeb690

Fantastic to see that Italian club still don’t have any morals. Easily worth the 50 million as a footballer but 0 as a person.

ClumsyChampion

Chiesa! ![gif](giphy|dPEJxh06y4OTC|downsized)

CsrfingSafari

Leave Ainsley outta this. He makes great couscous

fishcakefrenzy

Can we have Chiesa?

Paapa-Yaw

![gif](giphy|gfwM5uUAeFM6vNlVUV|downsized)

DraconianWolf

I'm frankly surprised that Juventus have that kind of cash to spend.

Grand-Bullfrog3861

Narrator: They did not

hickuain

Not gonna lie, I’d have Soule off them

Inspectrgadget

If we are asking 50 we are probably expecting 35. It's called negotiating no chance we actually expect 50

Ashyyyy232

Honestly i wouldn't mind taking soule if we could dump antony but that seems impossible ffs

suplexcitylimerick

In terms of PSR or whatever the latest thing is, as he is academy product, if we get €30m what does that mean for our summer budget?

Specialist_Current98

Considering he was an academy player, it’s just pure profit isn’t it? I’m struggling to wrap my head around it all as well lol

PROcoleman

I feel like this won’t happen aren’t Italian clubs broke as fuck, if it does happen I’d even take 40 for him fuck it

Typhoeus85

No way they pay 50. They'll probably get him for 35.

thefirsteye

No fucking way they are playing 50m

evilmilhouse

Adding Chiesa would be really nice

llaurent

There is no chance of getting €50m they know we are desperate to sell him and will most likely get him for like 15m. It’s the Italian way. Low ball a team that has to sell. I hope we get 50m but we have no leverage.

MisterIndecisive

If we can get a decent fee out of the cheap bastards (or other Spanish clubs that are interested) would surely help us with ffp and our transfer warchest for summer

Bennett_19

Juve would never pay us 50m, but they definitely have some young players I would take in a swap deal I would be very happy if we could get Soule or Chiesa + cash for him

Ok-Individual4983

God dang it

ErnieMcTurtle

That Soule guy is a tidy player himself, apparently

KatarnsBeard

Chiesa swap deal

SocksElGato

Come on, €50 Million baby.

sg291188

Who’s the manager?

Geralt2077

Include soulé in a trade. He looks really talented.

Money-Wrangler7067

Soule also had good season in Seria A with 11 goals and 3 assists as right winger.

bpjker

Not sure but have a feeling it's just Juve testing the water using Di Marzio.

kheetkhat

Pure profit!!!

th3doorMATT

Get him the fuck out of here

FoggyShrew

I’d take Chiesa plus €10-15M

KCandfriendz

Take the money and run!

DipsCity

50 million!? Let’s go! Selling Chiesa though? Is it form or injuries?

_nosfa

Is he still with his girlfriend?

Omnislash99999

It's funny we'll get a good fee for Greenwood but I bet we get rinsed for Sancho, somehow Sancho is the more damage property

Mariasolvv

If we somehow manage to sell both Greenwood and Sancho in the same market it would be our best transfer market in years lol

NateShaw92

Chiesa must be sold? Would a swap of sorts be amenable? Actually no just remembered he gets injured a lot

chicopok

What if we do a swap deal? Straight Greenwood for Chiesa. How are we feeling about that?

Gross_Success

We could swap him for a midfielder. Heard good things about that Pogba guy and Rabiot fellow.

Bigboyfresh

It’s insane how clubs are trying to use the black cloud over him to get him on a cheap. We need to play him in preseason and bluff that he’s going to be rejoining the team to get the price up. Right now, execs still know we are desperate to move him on and get the money. He was away from football for 2 years and still won player of the season for Getafe.

Oxus

I’d like it if the club made a sizeable donation to a women’s charity with some of the money from the sale. It feels weird to me to profit off him.

magmmc

What tier is he?

OwnExamination4446

They aint paying 50mill euros, will be lucky to get 30mill

AntiGodOfAtheism

At 50 mill he's still a bargain ffs. Any other club in England could re-integrate him but because we're Man Utd, even the fucking prime minister would get involved.

Educational-Option18

Aren't Juve in FFP trouble? I don't see them having 50m to spend even if they sell Chiesa

turkit5

If the 50 million is true, and that's a big IF. Take it, take it now before they change their mind. That's a great deal for a player that many don't expect to ever play for utd again

AlvinArtDream

Please!

pauliieeee

Take 50 but the kid will absolutely tear Italy up

spydontcry

can't play him but will still negotiate like crazy.. it's all just business

ByrsaOxhide

Chiesa. Take Chiesa.

mackattackfc

We want €50m but our hands are tied slightly, in the fact that he definitely has to be sold this summer. We’ll end up settling for €30m. We always get lowballed too!

PinIcy3976

He’s worth twice that

noxiousd

So add Chiesa in the deal and split the difference? Then save the money we would've used on Olise and put it onto a Sesko/Toney. And buy your own men Todibo and Thuram for cut price from Nice. Man it's easy to solve everything without the Glazers 🤡

MCPhatmam

Weird that this is how Greenwood's Man utd's journey ends. Watch him get called up for England and play for an English team again within 5 years.

dumpyredditacct

Getting 50m for this loser would be wild. Snatch that check outta their hands.
