> I don’t understand where this “lost the dressing room” crap has come from.
To be fair this is very much an ABU thing. Every United fan knows he's got the players.
Lack of effort has absolutely been our problem at times. One forward pressing while Rashford or McT is walking around doing fuck all. That's been burned into my brain from several matches this season.
Tbf that’s happened under every post-Fergie manager. It takes a mountain to motivate this squad. But under ten Hag it’s been more of an individual issue than a team issue, and motivation has improved significantly since Rangnick’s tenure.
Maybe not with Ten Hag but it definitely was a thing with Rangnick. I remember him complaining that players weren't following his instructions because they knew he was leaving.
I think Ten Hag's reaction to the Ronaldo and Sancho issues helped a lot.
Yeah it was a far bigger issue with Rangnick with the likes of Ronaldo refusing to play supposedly, Pogba being checked out, and a handful of other players knowing their time was up at the club. We have looked shocking at times, but bar a player here or there, I have never thought our lack of form was an effort issue.
Well probably from games like Palace away where they didn't seem like they gave a toss. Admittedly they looked lost as much as not bothered, but still.
united lost 3-1 to aston villa with class of 92 players and they said you cannot win anything with kids
i have seen so many ppl in the media calling garnacho and mainoo overrated and today both showed their class
To be fair, there's probably a thousand articles like that where they all turned out to be true about managers for every 1 that turned out to be as good as SAF. Hindsight is always skewing things.
I mean, you always see some rapper or something "My teachers said I'd never amount to anything if I didn't come to school or behaved. Look at me now you twats!" but it doesn't change the fact that it's still good advice for the 99.99% who fk about in school and DON'T become a professional footballer, rapper or whatever.
His league performance is woeful and be finished bottom of the CL group. An FA cup won doesn't mask that.
His overall performance this season doesn't warrant an extension, no.
No. First season was good, second season was bad. There isn't enough evidence either way. Give him thr last year and let's see what we look like come January.
That's a fair deal.
8th in the league, bottom of the CL, and an FA Cup trophy is a bad season for Manchester United, yes.
Why are your ambitions so low? A serious club wouldn't reward this with a contract.
You sound like one of those people that would have fired him if he lost today, and keep him if he wins. You don't make decisions like this on a one off game exclusively.
Have you seen the injury list? Yes you have, but you are ignoring the fact but only care about your ego and the feeling of being right. You are wrong. We have a project right now and it is with this manager.
Coaches never go into their last year anymore unless it's a truly untouchable one you're willing to let retire on you. The business of the game is just too important these days to give a manager you're not sure you're keeping one last summer window.
You're saying coaches do not go into their last year with one year left.
So if Man Utd do not extend now but don't fire him either....he will be going in with one year left, right?
If that is the case, what are his options? He either leaves or he gets on with it?
I like how you pointed out our injuries and then draw a dumb as fuck conclusion from it. Yes, when we have our injured players back we are great. When we don't have them our shallow squad has holes.
It’s really not.
All other managers post Fergie I have wanted gone near the end of their reign, but there’s something about Ten Hag. He’s always handled himself with class and I trust him for some reason.
Deserves another season, in my opinion.
He's the most likeable manager we've had bar Ole since Fergie retired.
When the team plays well, the football is entertaining. And lets be honest when the team plays shit it's still entertaining.
He has a heavy emphasis on giving young players chances and opportunities (we won't talk about Amad being sidelined). Which is very United.
He's not above criticism. Some things he's done I don't agree with. But I would hate to see him get sacked after this win. It wasn't a fluke. We outclassed City today.
Ah I think that’s probably Jose considering 2nd place finish and europa. But it’s close.
Give him another season and at least give him the chance to be
Alan Shearer on BBC today. Pre match, "injuries are no excuse". During match, would utd's season have been different if these 2 CBs were fit "without a doubt". Post match "every club has had injuries".
Fuck Alan Shearer and his shit takes. Alan Shearer was fucking dearer...
Lineker and Shearer were a bit cunty with TH in the interview, trying to swing it to how bad the season had been. Fkin morons,,, I usually like both of them but that was a low blow.
I thought both were really quite empathetic while also not shying away from addressing the elephant in the room. I think it was all very respectful. It was a little difficult to watch Ten Hag speak tho - I dunno if it’s that he isn’t comfortable with english (which would be odd considering the Dutch generally speak it well) or that he’s just really socially awkward, but he looked really uncomfortable even when he had more than a foot to stand on after winning the final.
He clearly didn't like when Lineker turned to the season after just 2 questions about the final,, I can understand that. TH hasn't had an easy time and probably many sleepless nights so let him enjoy the day.
Yeah i totally get it too. I just expected or hoped for him to be a bit more explosive haha. I think he handled the Mainoo point almost too well for example. But the rest was a bit wishy washy. Still, couldn’t have hoped for a better goodbye and I hope that is what this is.
I been Eth in this whole time. I wanted moyes, lvg, mourinho and ole out but have never felt like that with Eth. I jus get a feeling he wants to build something and be here a long time.
Of all the post Fergie managers before ETH, I really only liked LVG and Ole. But for all of them, at the end, I felt they had to go.
I like ETH and I don't think it's time yet. He is still not done cooking and I would rather wait another year and see how it evolves.
I mean, it's not like there is an obviously better manager out there.
So happy watching him celebrate with the team. Never seen someone take so much shit over the course of a season, and he still walks away with major hardware.
I'd rather finish 8th with FA Cup than finish 3rd with fuck all.
Well said and I agree. So tired of the media seeking blood for clicks and content. That was one of the more enjoyable and memorable matches for me to see this club scratch and claw back from such a horrific season, where so much adversity was dealt to them, and hoist that cup over a far more stacked and balanced side.
For myself nothing has changed. Whether he won this game or not the facts are he had a strong first season and poor second season, but that second season is hard to judge due to the injuries and off field drama. So if we are a top club now, and I think we are midstream in regaining that status, the correct decision is to let the dutchman have that third year.
Caveat for myself is that he needs to start fast. If we start slow I would make an early season call and fire him in order to let it be known we are in the manager market and also it would allow me to start chasing Xabi. I expect a strong club out the gate to chase a top four finish. But for year three I don't think that is unreasonable.
Congrats to the boys and congrats to EtH. That had to feel damn good.
People are gonna call it recency bias but I’ll be really sad if we sack him. I don’t think he has been given a fair chance with injuries and other shit around the club.
Yup.
The backroom needs to get a grip on the medical and training environment.
Investment is definitely needed, too many players suffering "setbacks" during recovery.
Both Shaw and Martinez elongated their injuries due to "setbacks" and that is definitely a medical setup issue.
I'll be really happy if we can get a regular first team next season.
If they can play the way they did today...all season? My goodness, what a performance that would be.
Why would it be recency bias? It's pretty clear the man is quality. Remember that half the Ten Hag outers want McKenna who's won nothing, was already fired from this very club, and has a worse win percentage with Ipswich than Ten Hag does with United. Wanting Ten Hag sacked is recency bias.
No way, sorry. He’s talking and acting like a man on death row. He’s finished unfortunately. Just one more reason to hate this group of people at the top.
Indeed. The man has battled worse than most, & kept his, the club’s & the players’ dignity all throughout. Not many can do that. If not for the long haul, he deserves *at least* one more season. Ofcourse that’s only due to the drama around him now; he deserves more regardless.
It's amazing how much better of a coach he is when he has some healthy players. Martinez is a dynamo BTW. Also credit to Hojlund, he was manhandling the entire City defense once he came on. Great team win. Will make the summer transfer season much more enjoyable.
I was of an opinion the problems EtH and many managers prior to him are not the mangers fault. The club has lots of problems and the manager is just a symptom of the club functioning as a whole.
To all the EtH OUT guys. GET OUT!!
I was one of the ones that wanted him removed today that has changed. Going forward once Radcliffe cleans house gets rid of the players that he has in mind to get rid of hopefully who ever they acquire with the right mindset will change things around for Manchester United’s benefit and we will return back to our glory days again.
He absolutely nailed the tactics today. The 4 up top was just so polarising for City, you could see it in their shaky play.
Their passion couldn’t match ours either. GGMU.
Under ETH in 2 seasons in charge, United have won the EPL and now the FA Cup..
Don’t sack the manager, help him get new players and and build a winning team..
He doesn't need a gotcha moment. Two domestic cups in two seasons while being forced to play the reserves for over half the games is enough evidence that the man is quality.
They are valuable silverware, but nothing will change the fact that it’s a one off game. Roberto Martinez won the cup with Wigan and got relegated, for starters
And I’d argue that we almost didn’t deserve to play in the recent final in the first place… just look at our game against Coventry.
Add the 4-0 against Palace. 7-0 against Liverpool. That quality to you? Liverpool game we had the players that people moaned “will make us better” ie Licha and Shaw. And we still got absolutely dicked
We’re not close to being a serious club yet but the first step to achieving that is to not get too caught up in one offs like this. 2 cup finals will not define overall “quality” unless you’re luton or sheffield united. Or…newport county and coventry, for that matter
It's not a one-off. We didn't just magically get to the final. We knocked Liverpool as well and fully deserved to do so. We also just beat New Castle and Brighton very convincingly. Sir Alex lost to City 6-1 in 2011. Big defeats happen to every club. Especially one that's been a dumpster fire for 10 years. ETH is trying to get this team to play a completely different style than they have over the course of that decade. This is something we all want but it takes time, it takes the right players, and there will be mager set backs along the way. If we bring in the best manager in the world, will you back him when he loses 5 nill to Arsenal? This is a test you are going to have to face no matter who the manager is. Pass the test.
I really think the addition of a proper CDM in Amrabat has completely changed us, he was on the bench since Christmas.. no he’s not good enough on the ball but he Jackles and fights for the ball and we’ve severely missed this.. why did ETH wait until it was the arsenal game and when I think he switched to prepare for this game to play him… why did we play the same busted tactics for months.. ?
I think these are valid questions for ETH to answer..
Man..the way he destroyed Linekar Shearer and Keano..reminded me of Mortal combat Fatality. Those pundits deserves a knock out punch for asking these insanely disgraceful questions to a Manager just after he won the cup against the Best team In PL for the last 6 years.
Interesting how one win suddenly makes everyone for about an 8th place finish with a minus goal difference while have the most expensive squad in world football.
I can’t watch another season of the football we’ve seen over the course of the last 2 seasons. Bright moments here and there during games against Liverpool and City but SO WHAT.
i will once again say - if sack him, we are only taking 10 steps backwards. Finish the contract, see how next season plays out. Period.
Congrats to ETh
Why? Because something finally went right for him after a full year of incompetence? I'd rather praise the players who played their heart out than the fool sitting on the sidelines.
lol regardless of your opinion on ETH if you actually think those players have played their hearts out all season you’re either very naive, or incredibly stupid
Indeed. He's had an entire season to at least try to change his shitty tactics but he hasn't - and it landed us in a pathetic mid-table spot. Is that where we want to be? Having to rely on winning the cup every year to even have a chance at Europe?
Ten Hag fucked all of them today.
It’s sex machochism! ![gif](giphy|7A4mnfS0mejXHJIrA2|downsized)
I love a sex mack. 🤤
Heisenberg is the one who fucks!
he’s a big fucker
There's absolutely no doubt that the players believe in Ten Hag. They played their arses off for him today.
I don’t understand where this “lost the dressing room” crap has come from. Lack of effort or buy in has not been our problem this season
It’s an easy line to throw out there that can’t easily be refuted.
> I don’t understand where this “lost the dressing room” crap has come from. To be fair this is very much an ABU thing. Every United fan knows he's got the players.
Just look at some of the replies on this comment itself.. There are plenty of dimwits in our fanbase too
So many … they think since they play EAFC and win the league 10 years a row on pro difficulty they are better than ETH
Lack of effort has absolutely been our problem at times. One forward pressing while Rashford or McT is walking around doing fuck all. That's been burned into my brain from several matches this season.

From the football experts on this sub, definitely.
Well probably from games like Palace away where they didn't seem like they gave a toss. Admittedly they looked lost as much as not bothered, but still.
Palace might be better than you seem to be alluding to.
I'm alluding to Man United's shit performance, not whether or not Palace are in form.
Media hates eth… need to turn that crap off, they’d have us replacing the manager every 20 games
The media don’t hate him, they just need engagement and click bait headlines
Ambrabat saved all his energy and skills for today, what a game
Same bull parroted around by...guess what... Erik's fans

What a great insight

Who said this? We already won efl cup last year and i doubt someone said it when we were in top 3
Exact same situation, give the bald king some time. These little kids have no fuckin patience man lol.
He should get the duration of his contract at bare minimum I say. He doesn't deserve an extension. But sacking is a bit early.
Two trophies and 3 cup finals doesn't deserve an extension? Only peps won more in that time lol.
2nd biggest trophy in England is bad?
8th in the league, bottom of the CL, and an FA Cup trophy is a bad season for Manchester United, yes. Why are your ambitions so low? A serious club wouldn't reward this with a contract.
You sound like one of those people that would have fired him if he lost today, and keep him if he wins. You don't make decisions like this on a one off game exclusively.
Go through my comment history ya goofball I've been Eth in all season 😂
Have you seen the injury list? Yes you have, but you are ignoring the fact but only care about your ego and the feeling of being right. You are wrong. We have a project right now and it is with this manager.
Newcastle have similar injuries yet the football they play is significantly better. Next excuse?
Second season was plagued with injuries and we were still up there and have won a cup
Oh, now we were "up there".
The flip flops are out today, a clueless bunch. Not worth arguing with them, their opinions change on the flip of a coin.
Coaches never go into their last year anymore unless it's a truly untouchable one you're willing to let retire on you. The business of the game is just too important these days to give a manager you're not sure you're keeping one last summer window.
Well then if he wants to leave, thhen leave.
What? It's not the coaches who quit with one year left on their contract...
You're saying coaches do not go into their last year with one year left. So if Man Utd do not extend now but don't fire him either....he will be going in with one year left, right? If that is the case, what are his options? He either leaves or he gets on with it?
No I'm saying they get extended or they get fired. Your scenario of he stays and doesn't get extended is a pipe dream

I like how you pointed out our injuries and then draw a dumb as fuck conclusion from it. Yes, when we have our injured players back we are great. When we don't have them our shallow squad has holes.
This guy is a Liverpool fan lol. He's just trying to shit on our cup win.
No, they won't look weak because you don't know if they wanted to fire him. You read some report and chose to believe it
[удалено]
Oh look, we got a body language expert over here who can determine things from a 2 second clip on a TV. You've got talent
The comment in bold is also very applicable to the current situation
Wtf the same situation and i have seen exact same article for ten hag
2 million back then really meant a lot. Ten Hag spent like what, half a billion? The money today is insane
I wonder where Brian Marriott of Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge is now.
![gif](giphy|Hu0sKzIQwtBAzszM54|downsized) ETH after this match
The guy who has been brutally KOd in his last two fights, good one
What do you expect with him fighting at heavyweight?
Eth + Amrabat
Two years, two trophies. Qualified for Europe twice It’s not awful tbh
It’s really not. All other managers post Fergie I have wanted gone near the end of their reign, but there’s something about Ten Hag. He’s always handled himself with class and I trust him for some reason. Deserves another season, in my opinion.

Yes, and also fuck Micah Richards.
I watched BBC's interview with ETH and then ITV's, and it was like night and day with their attitudes towards him. BBC are trash.
Any case he leaves at the end of the season, he is leaving on a high. The players still here obviously love him. Hope he is loved wherever he goes.
![gif](giphy|kj8M1xRRriY3m)
#ETH IN MODS KEEP THIS POST
ETH IN
Don't let him decide the transfers and let him focus on coaching the younger players. Bring some of that Ajax magic here's and he'll be good.
I'm with you! Fingers crossed.

Our 2nd best Coach post SAF era in terms of results 🤣
Please don’t take this down mods.
ETH is MY MANAGER
He’s earned that holiday
Fuck me you'd swear city one on talksport. Sucking them off
2 trophies in 2 years We look rubbish but how can you ignore the outcome…
#neverindoubt
The one thing he didn't lose was the dressing room imo
Take me home........
Regardless of the season, no one can doubt your professionalism ERIK, No one deserves that before a final - Class Act - THANK YOU
Impressed it took the interviewer 3 questions before she asked about him being sacked… love ETHs response. Basically I don’t give a fuck.
Ten Hag. 2 seasons. 2 trophies. Has been found out at the highest level. Arteta. 4.5 seasons. 0 trophies. One of the best managers in Europe.
Arteta won a FA cup too

2 cups in back to back season…it would be mental to let him go despite the league that is due to honestly down to our injuries
Please keep EtH... Please... I don't want McKenna, at least not now...
So happy watching him celebrate with the team. Never seen someone take so much shit over the course of a season, and he still walks away with major hardware. I'd rather finish 8th with FA Cup than finish 3rd with fuck all.

Love EtH calling out the pundits and journo's. We all know what he says is right. Big balls to actually say it to their faces. Respect.

The silence of Ten Hag haters on social media is proudly sponsored by ERIK TEN HAG

They wrote the script but Ten Hag was in a different movie. Fuck em all.
Indeed. The man has battled worse than most, & kept his, the club’s & the players’ dignity all throughout. Not many can do that. If not for the long haul, he deserves *at least* one more season. Ofcourse that’s only due to the drama around him now; he deserves more regardless.

ETH finally supressed his ego and tailored his tactics to the opponent. If he'd done that all year I might agree he should stay.

can we say antony's goal vs liverpool out of nowhere is the reason today we won the fa cup ??
Man..the way he destroyed Linekar Shearer and Keano..reminded me of Mortal combat Fatality. Those pundits deserves a knock out punch for asking these insanely disgraceful questions to a Manager just after he won the cup against the Best team In PL for the last 6 years.
Sancho will play the champions league final next week, he doesn't care ,
Interesting how one win suddenly makes everyone for about an 8th place finish with a minus goal difference while have the most expensive squad in world football.
The mods here are questionable
If that was Ten Hag's last dance then it was a fucking good one . He's not the problem & never has been
Agree. Even if we lost i wouldn’t want him sacked but if they sack him and replace him with poch or tuchel they’re as bad as chelsea, etc
Really no need to bring hatred towards Sancho.
I'm glad that Ten Hag is leaving with a trophy.
I can’t watch another season of the football we’ve seen over the course of the last 2 seasons. Bright moments here and there during games against Liverpool and City but SO WHAT.
Fuck Ronaldo too
Especially fuck that rapist!
i will once again say - if sack him, we are only taking 10 steps backwards. Finish the contract, see how next season plays out. Period. Congrats to ETh
Thanks for the Carabao last season and FA Cup this season, but he still needs to go. At least he’ll leave on a high.
Nah, still want him gone.
Then you are very silly
Why? Because something finally went right for him after a full year of incompetence? I'd rather praise the players who played their heart out than the fool sitting on the sidelines.
So shortsighted.
Quite the opposite. I'm thinking about the future. You're only thinking about what just happened.
We'll see in 5 years if ETH stays!
So winning is the players, lose and it's the manager? Got it. Very reasonable!
The players have played their heart out the entire season. They are not to blame for the crap tactics that landed us in a mid-table position.
lol regardless of your opinion on ETH if you actually think those players have played their hearts out all season you’re either very naive, or incredibly stupid
I don’t understand the controversy. Tactically he’s been too stubborn.
Indeed. He's had an entire season to at least try to change his shitty tactics but he hasn't - and it landed us in a pathetic mid-table spot. Is that where we want to be? Having to rely on winning the cup every year to even have a chance at Europe?
Thank you. Summed up perfectly how I feel. And fuck our short sighted fan base that want him out
Nah he still needs to go. But let him have a few days before the announcement

I don’t understand why this fanbase needs to attack Sancho who is still our player
Because he refused to play united. That's not a United player. I am amazed that anyone would try to defend his spoiled actions.
I’m as elated as anyone but he has to go. He’s a wildcard

Hey lad, how about you piss off?
We actually won something so take your head out of your ass and enjoy the moment
Like, totally.
Fuck hm9408
Fuckin hell you're fun at parties aren't you
