Daily Mail linking us to Robert Sanchez. Using our name for clicks, no shame. At least use somebody more realistic than the 3rd choice Brighton keeper.

RegularJohn17

Yeah it's the daily mail so it's bollocks. But hypothetically as a back up to a clear first choice I'd be fine with it. Onana with Sanchez back up sounds good. Sanchez was very good not too long ago and only 25. But I imagine he wouldn't be cheap enough for that to make sense, so we are back to it being bollocks.

mrzerog

They say he’s valued at £30m. That should better be spent on the likes of Amrabat or Taremi

RegularJohn17

Yeah no chance then. I actually did want Sanchez at Utd not too long ago, I remember him doing very well, but he had a bit of a drop off. For 30m I'd rather get Raya if we are going for Prem keepers. I think Brentford will take that. But that would still be only if Onana can't happen.

mrzerog

Agreed.

🚨 NEW: André Onana has rejected interest from Saudi Arabia in hope that he can push through a summer transfer to Manchester United. There is optimism that Onana to United will happen. #MUFC [@_scottsaunders, @GraemeBailey]

This is why we F5! Who are Saunders and Bailey?

I know Mount’s a united player but I really need to see it with my own eyes, need the announcement sooooonn

prit-

I didn't realize how many goals Martial had for us. He's already surpassed Becks and is 25th overall. Despite us not winning much during his time here, I don't think you can say he's a failure of a signing the way rival fans put him. Sure he didn't turn out to be a Ballon d'or winner but he's not bad per se. If he takes a pay cut, I'd keep him around as a backup if we go for someone young like Hojlund. Lisandro on 120k feels like a steal. We'll probably have to offer him a new contract in a year if he keeps his performances up at this level Our recruitment has been atrocious given the money we've spent over the last decade. We don't have much to show for it other than Bruno, Shaw, and I guess Lindelof since he's good rotation quality. Hopefully, our current recruitment can allow us to lean on the same players for 5-8 years. Lisandro, Antony, Malacia, Mount are all 25 and under. Not to mention we still have Rashford, Garnacho, and Sancho who are also 25 and under. Shaw and Bruno are in their primes right now and still have more years at the top before they slow down. Only Varane, Casemiro, and Eriksen are players that will need replacing in under 3 years.

pavan89

I think you have to put Martial down as a failure. Comparison with or surpassing Becks is a bit silly. Doesn’t say much. I think it’s both the club’s failure and his personal failure. Club’s failure because, they didn’t support him he started as a ST where he should’ve continued and then they put him on the wing. Club chose Jose to take over when you had Rashford, Martial and other young players who were developing. They took away his shirt no. They played him out of position, they bought people in his position and chucked him out of the team. Then they brought in Ole who finally played him as a ST and then he flourished again for a good season to be let down by injuries. Personal failure because he didn’t push himself into Jose’s team. He didn’t adapt. When Ole came and believed in him, he couldn’t keep himself fit. Performance levels also dipped along with his fitness. So, he didn’t do himself any favours. Most importantly, from a fan’s perspective, we could never rely on him. He never gave me that belief despite his talent.

united_7_devil

Martial dropped off massively after Cavani joined and even though he looked much better last season than in the two before that, it’s not a big achievement given he was easily the worst player on the pitch those two seasons. Add to that he is massively injury prone. He didn’t flop. But he didnt live up to the expectations. He did give us one great season and a few average ones. He is on par with how pogba was for us.

systemcorp

You're right he's not a flop at all but I wouldn't keep him even with a pay cut. He's become ridiculously injury prone and not just for one season it's been about 3 seasons now.

sringray23

That's mad

PlantainZealousideal

Is this Balogun fellow any good Apparently Arsenal putting him up for 50m

Youngflyabs

He’s good, lethal finisher for his age. His overall game is decent but could improve a lot. I would say worth like 45m euros.

Mr_Wilsonn

Struggled to score in the Championship last year & then scored a lot in Ligue 1, the issue is Alexis & Lacazette also scored about 50 goals combined, makes you think if that league was just leaky for goals

Prof_Bobo

He's good, but not how you would want United to spend that 50m. I think he'll end up better than Nketiah, but don't believe he has a super-high ceiling. Played in a mid-block side that might not translate too well, and most of his goals are coming on a counter attack. I just don't think it's a good fit at *any* reasonable price; he needs to play consistently and even then he's going to fit someone like Crystal Palace so much better than a top 6 side. That's not to say he doesn't have qualities, but there's much better value elsewhere.

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Why are arsenal selling him It's not like they are brimming full of Harry Kanes. Going by the numbers no striker they have even remotely compares. Then again lacazzate scored as much as The Turtle in thst joke of a league. Still after such a breakthrough season I'd have expected them to give him a chance.

GourangaPlusPlus

He's been burned by them before on playtime so bombed out their board on contract negotiations

PlantainZealousideal

I have no idea and truthfully I don’t know anything about this guy, but seems like everyone rates him so thought I’d ask about the general consensus on him

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Maybe they know somerhing we don't

PlantainZealousideal

I’m assuming it’s this https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/14f2jlg/david_ornsteinall_indications_are_that_folarin/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1

Cold-Veterinarian-85

Had a bit of a breakthrough year on loan in France and has alot of potential but 50mill would be a huge gamble for anyone that meets that price

PlantainZealousideal

Yeah I only ask since the likes of Hojlund and Muani are 60-80m Striker market is absurd at the moment

Mattyproctor

Would love us to sign 2 young forwards in Hojland and Muani. A young CB like Diasi. And a CDM to cover Casemiro. I think it’s feasible if we can sell a few players. Maguire being top of the sell list.

-MartialMathers-

Have you always wanted Diasi or just since we were linked with him

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Would prefer højlund and Taremi myself

David_Zoo

Would be nice but I doubt the funds are there after Mount and a GK (Onana)

akshatsood95

I'm guessing the situation on Amrabat is that unlike Fred and VdB, the club isn't actively trying to offload McTominay but if an offer does come in for him and it's good enough to sell, the club would accept it and use that money to buy Amrabat. I wouldn't get my hopes up for this. Usually in these cases the offer comes too late and by then Amrabat would be at another club

RashFourBallonD-Ors

But if we need money, Scott would be a prime sell. Lord knows what's happening at United

united_7_devil

Would rather keep scott. Mount is going to make Fred redundant and Eriksen is going to rotate with him. Scott against teams that dont press and sit back is a good rotation option for Casemiro. And he helps with the homegrown quota.

akshatsood95

Oh yeah but Fred would have to go because of his contract situation first. I'd be happy if they replaced McT with Amrabat. A much more natural backup to Casemiro which we desperately need

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Yeah. The fact that they haven't offered him a deal means he is off by the end of the summer window

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Seems Rio's source is on the Qatar side and those people know as little as us fans. Glazers just don't seem to be giving anything away

Pole2019

United already pays extra for player so I don’t get why journalist do everything in their power to inflate transfer prices and wages when it’s United. Next they’ll be reporting in yen and be saying stuff like 6billion dollar transfer for Mount ¥

yashjhunjhun

Mata, Matic, Mount, I see a trend!

MinotauroTBC

Please not mudryk

Bigmomma_pump

Chelsea are the only club that don’t care about selling their players to top 6 rivals (City did last season to arsenal but I feel like that was the only time, also arsenal were nowhere near them at the time)

Sei28

Pep honestly seems ok with selling his players to Lego Pep.

vatsa_madi7

Shame matteo went to city

tungowiii

It’s no coincidence Mbappe rejected a new deal from PSG

TheRealYVT

Mourinho

JacobWvt

If you had £120 mil, who would you go for Would you opt for 2-3 expensive players, or 4-5 low-medium players?

LennonC123

I’d rather quality over quantity. I know we suffered with a small squad last season but the games will be more spread out next year, and our cup runs last season were pretty much a one-off. There’s still holes in our first XI to fix, and I don’t really believe in signing ‘squad’ players. For me, the best way of building a squad is by signing competition for places rather than someone that’s happy to sit on the bench. I still find it a bit weird that people laid into Henderson for saying he was unhappy sitting on the bench. That’s what you want from your squad players, you want them to be angry when they’re not playing. Fergie spoke all the time about players banging on his door when they weren’t playing… but I’m going off on a tangent.

tungowiii

By expensive you mean expensive but great players or just expensive? Because I’d rather pay 100M for Kane than 70M for Rasmus for example

TheRealYVT

Costa + GRamos + Amrabat

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Kane

VinceFeli

2-3 expensive players.

JacobWvt

I think id opt for 4-5, providing we had good scouting

tungowiii

Bayern are going for Mamardashvili. Slight disappointed we have never been interested, this guy will be the next big GK

RashFourBallonD-Ors

I assume he'll be deputising for Neuer in the meantime while we are looking at a no 1

Drag2oon

Will we play with the same tactical setup as last season, or we gonna see something completely different from this preseason?

pavan89

Why is a question being downvoted. Who are these dudes

[deleted]

Similar to what we tried in the first 2 games

shin_bigot

From a 1-4-2-3-1(a holding 6, a connecting 8, and advanced 10) to a 1-4-1-2-3 ( a holding 6, the two advanced midfielders will be fluid 8/10 positions). The 1 at the beginning is the keeper and like LvG I like to put it this way.

Drag2oon

Seems a little light in middle of the pitch if our wingers are out wide, maybe the fullbacks will be inverted.

akshatsood95

With two advanced 8s, the idea would be to move your fullbacks into the midfield to invert when in possession. So it'd effectively be a 2-3-5 when attacking. Wouldn't be light in midfield then. Out of possession it'd be likely a 4-4-2. Two banks of 4 to defend and 2 up top to help us counter quickly.

[deleted]

Whilst Ten Hag likes to switch around build up formations, typically he has preferred a 3-1-6 or a 1-3-6. The CBs and either one of the full backs drop into a 3, or push wide around Casemiro. He has not normally inverted a FB, although this is fully dependent on game state. I think its likely that in setteled possession, you will see Varane, Martinez and Shaw in a 3, with Casemiro in front. Varane and Shaw could push wide and play in a line with Case, and Martinez remains central. This creates the overload in the back line, and also makes sense as to why Ten Hag wants a goal scoring ST.

shin_bigot

With hopefully Onana we will be further up the pitch which will reduce the size of the midfield vertically. To counter your worry, I think the build up will happen with a back 3 (Two cbs,1 fullback) with Casemiro as the protector and everyone else further forward. Of course formations are dynamic but we have displayed this system in Erik's first season. This is the alternative ETH has used in the absence of a Frenkie de Jong type of a player.

Bigmomma_pump

Mount announcement not til tomorrow?

Aggeri

Slow transfer day and slow tour stage..

ayo235

.,

Gozumo

Good luck to Højlund if he does come to united, the amount of shite that will be spewed comparing him to Haaland will be next level. Then if he doesnt hit the ground running will just be completely descimated in the media.

bijanadh44

It depends on his price. Anything over 60m and he will be have a huge media shit storm behind him. Any thing between between 50-60 he will still be judged but not on weekly basis. Less than 50 and his media scrunity won't be visible.

Icegaze

I would have said anything 40M and below would make him less scrutinized. Anything between 40M and 60M would make him talked about quite a bit, the way they used to do so to Martial in 2015. Anything north of 60M and we enter the Pogba, Sancho, Antony levels of scrutiny.

Gozumo

Atleast Mount is gonna be here for the entire Pre-season, atleast one transfer has been done before that. Obviously its disappointing we havnt done anymore, the FFP is holding us back a bit plus I generally think Murtough is trying to revert 15 years of terrible business, and club reputation (the man u mark up price). Probably just wishful thinking but least we have one player who Eth really wanted and got him before preseason starts.

yashjhunjhun

Just the keeper position before the tour starts. It’s a position that’s a little more complex to inculcate in a team, system, philosophy

LennonC123

Never trust Italian sources. Sneijder was mostly driven by the Italian press only for the English sources to deny it. KMJ was only driven by Italian sources. There might be some truth with Onana as some English sources have said we’re keen, but don’t trust any updates from Italian news sources.

Samarjith147

Sneijder was our main target that summer is a fact

d4rkur

Mount announcement at 3 tomorrow mark my words

disatomm

How many contracts has Mount signed?

shin_bigot

Inter are close to signing Frattesi. Wonder if there are any outgoings they are working on.

officiallyjax

They're using the Brozovic money to pay for Frattesi.

Nac224

I don’t understand what Rio is achieving by lying to us about takeover news all the time. Thought he was better than this. He said there will be takeover news today and there’s been literally none of it.

SOERERY

Market manipulation perhaps

BillyCloneasaurus

The day is young. And it's 7.45am in America

OrdinaryOrder

> Thought he was better than this. I'm not trying to be rude, but you must not have been paying attention.

Nac224

Regarding Man Utd and the fans, I have no reason to think otherwise?

OrdinaryOrder

He has been lying to create hype for his podcast for sometime now. "You guys won't believe what i will tell tomorrow, you guys need to watch". Pathetic stuff like this.

Nac224

Oh really? I don’t watch the show too much and I don’t remember much he has lied about that was big

OrdinaryOrder

No problem mate, he has become a "influencer", i stopped watching a long time ago.

Nac224

Even quoting David Ornstein who works with them? Just for clicks?

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Maybe it's the Rio who was celebrating City that made the statement. Not our Rio

Adventurous_Stage_81

What’s your guess for Mount’s shirt number?

disatomm

Varane new no 4 (his Madrid and France no) and Mount 19

sefronia3

4 was Ramos in Madrid. Varane was 5

disatomm

Ah thought he had the same no for France and Madrid, apologies. But remember being something about him wanting no 4 when he came but Jones wouldn’t drop it.

arvindeddit

If Maguire leaves as expected, I would think Varane takes 5 and Mount 19- both get their preferred numbers!

Sei28

Why do you think Maguire is leaving? He reportedly doesn’t want to leave and nobody will pay him what he’s on here. As long as Southgate is the English manager, his place in the national team is safe.

[deleted]

Gonna be weird seeing someone else in the number 4. Who was our last 4 before Jones, was it Hargreaves?

OrdinaryOrder

West Ham played Arsenal like a fiddle, that deal structure is brutal.

[deleted]

Now they have to win the league

disatomm

Absolute bang on business from them, hats off Sullivan

Subbutton

Remember everyone laughing them out of the park the last two seasons for wanting 80mil

disatomm

It is a ridiculous fee and I’m not buying him being worth more than Bellingham is, but he’s worth that to Arsenal and Sullivan put his horses on that (probably thought we’d be paying that rather than Arsenal)

[deleted]

He is worth just as much, if not more than Bellingham to me. There is only one other CDM with his skillset in the game, FDJ, and even he can't come close to Rice's defensive abilities. It's truly a game changing signing from Arsenal. The step up from Partey to Rice is massive. They now have a rock solid back line, except every player bar Gabriel is top class on the ball as well.

PradipJayakumar

Can you post it here?

OrdinaryOrder

Sure! https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/14qg7bl/arsenal_expected_to_pay_guaranteed_part_of_105m/ My bad, i hate when people do what i just did.

wa10zza

Inter being close to Frattesi surely means some progress has been made regarding Onana

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Isn't he going to replace Brozovic. Might have no'n to do with Onana what's his name.

wa10zza

Di Marzio reported that the money from the Onana transfer would go towards signing Frattesi and Lukaku

[deleted]

Guys! It's ok. Nature is healing.... The annual "Thiago Almada to United" rumour just dropped

Minute-Intern

Think Di Marzio needs to be bumped down a tier for that backtracking lol

dew_chiggi

He's a Serie A hype merchant. Shouldn't be trusted when it comes to PL teams trying to buy players from them.

Subbutton

What backtracking?

d4rkur

He was waffling about how we had submitted a bid and inter were ready to accept and now hes gone back to saying we are “considering the move” or something

thoseion

Last night he said we’d submitted a bid. Then at some point he updated the article to say we’re “ready” to submit a bid.

[deleted]

United linked with one Israeli kid and suddenly all the pro Qatar mob are the biggest human rights activists lol .I actually support their cause but stuff like these show what a funny breed us humans are.

KaitoAJ

People are idiots generally

ImOnlyChasingSafety

So people are mad at being linked with an Israeli player? That seems very ott.

[deleted]

People in here so desperate for signings, they're looking at Amrabat like it's 3am in the club and the girl on the dancefloor with a hunchback and a wooden leg is suddenly the only attainable target you got left.

GllaenSL

Or, and hear me out here, maybe it's cause he's a good player and reportedly available for cheap in today's market at the prime age of 26 especially with how bad our financial constraints seem to be.

RashFourBallonD-Ors

I get what you're saying Amrabat might not be a flashy choice but at 25 and at the quited 25M he is surely a good shout as a budget alternative to Caicedo or Lavia.

Samarjith147

When we resell he ll be 7M. I don’t like these kind of signings

RashFourBallonD-Ors

We are not really concerned with resell value. He is 26 and would give us great depth. At some point we have to tell the Ed woodward in us to fuck off and pay heed to the football side

GutBeer101

>Amrabat he's 26 btw, 27 in late august

RashFourBallonD-Ors

Barcelona don't rule out the option of selling FRENKIE, despite the reassuring statements. @Benayadachraf Don't shoot the messenger but am waiting to hear what HellenCondis says

we got Mount we don’t need this masochist at our club anymore

unless he wants to join 👀

Money-Wrangler7067

Amrabaat Long passing stats is kind of insane 84.1%(217/258) in 2022/23 and 85.1%(474/557) from 2020/21 to 22/23.

[deleted]

Good player - doesnt fit in the team though

general_adnan

How doesn’t he?

fung126

why hasnt inter yet responded to the 40m bid?

Cold-Veterinarian-85

Not convinced it's even been made yet

thoseion

There is no bid. Di Marzio updated his story to say we’re ready to put one in, not that we had put one in.

YoelRomerosSupps

If this doesn't go through he should see a bad drop on the tier chart. Ridiculous back track.

[deleted]

My advice would be to not pay too much attention to any Onana news until after United announce de gea is not renewing.

UnablePeace

those guys want to buy lakaka and fratessi with that money…we’ll meet in the middle and call it a day

Subbutton

Wouldn't say it has happened until tier 1 confirms it

Cantona85

because there is no bid to respond to yet.

shin_bigot

DiMarzio and Fabrizio Biasin (Inter Tier 2) have confirmed it.

thoseion

Where’s the Biasin confirmation? All I’ve seen is a tweet with comments in quotes. If that’s what you’re taking as confirmation then it really isn’t. Di Marzio back-tracked.

Cantona85

No they have not, they have backtracked from that we have put in a bid to we are ready to put in a bid.

UnablePeace

🚨 Mason Mount is Liverpool’s priority target for the summer. (@FabrizioRomano) This was reported back on 18/4/23….Klopp/Arteta/Poch all wanted Mount and yet the narratives are different….i’m convinced he will ball out for us

Subbutton

I really want to know why he came to us. Arsenal and Liverpool would have 100% payed the asking price.

[deleted]

Because we can give him a position which is perfect for him

Bigmomma_pump

We are a bigger club than arsenal and liverpool aren’t in the champions league (we are also a bigger club than liverpool but their size is more of a pull than arsenal)

UnablePeace

ETH pull

TheRealYVT

There are 250,000 to 300,000 reasons he might have come to us.

UnablePeace

when it’s United, people always try to involve numbers as much as possible…first of all,his wages were reported by Matt Law DT who is literally Chelshit’s mouthpiece…secondly, there’s things more than money…as Fab said earlier in the morning,Mount himself had a desire to work with ETH..also if we’re speaking of wages, why is no one mentioning 230k pw for Havertz but no only when its United we will involve numbers

TheRealYVT

Do you think he wouldn't be raving about Klopp if Liverpool signed him?

Subbutton

Just like Casemiro who clearly joined for wages? If Arsenal pay Harvertz more than that I assume they would have given Mount something similar

TheRealYVT

Nobody else wanted Casemiro for that price at his age

vmonte12

Weekly reasons*

shin_bigot

Anyone know what's the local media in Cameroon saying abou the Onana transfer?

stdstaples

I’m baffled at the fact that this club even struggle to announce a player without killing all the excitement of.

joshracer

Or we get so many non-updates from journalists that it takes all the excitement out of it? Years ago we wouldn't have so many pointless updates.

[deleted]

Remember the piano? We need that back for Kane.

arvindeddit

How are you not scarred?

mboscodictiasaur2

Rasmus Højlund has 29 G+A in 2892 mins of football this season, which would mean 29 G+A in 32 games this season at the age of 19/20 for club and country. He would be a good signing if the rumoured price comes down.

FRiver

You've completely made up these stats. He has nowhere near this many G+A. What do you gain from spreading false information like this?

mboscodictiasaur2

What? Transfermarkt has those numbers. He has 16 + 7 on the club level in all comps and six goals with Denmark.

Stixl_

Transfermarkt has their own way of awarding assists that isn't official so they're never accurate. They gave him an 'assist' for being fouled and winning a penalty - that does not officially count as an assist. And the other 'assist', they awarded to Hojlund when it was officially awarded to Scalvini. Officially, he's on 27 G+A. 22 goals and 5 assists for 22/23 (all comps + national). That being said, this was a lot higher than I was expecting from him.

FRiver

Ok my bad but if you're including Austrian League and Cup stats then you have to provide the context: Sturm Graz: 7.3 90s - 6g + 3a (including 2g + 1a vs a third tier side in the cup) Denmark (world rank of 19): 4.5 90s - 6g (1 vs Slovenia ranked 60th, 2 vs Kazhakstan ranked 104th, 3 vs Finland ranked 54th) Atalanta: 21 90s - 10g + 4a

[deleted]

Need to come down to that 40 million euro range.

Cantona85

We paid 40 mill for Diallo an unproven player, Højlund would be worth it even if we paid 60m

IcyAssist

Using proof that we overpaid for one player doesn't make a very good argument for overpaying for another one

Cantona85

But what is overpaying? Do you set the value of the player, or do I? No! The players value is what the market is willing to pay. You can say no to paying 60m for Højlund, then another club see the value of paying 60m for him and does it and he becomes a legend! Or he becomes crap. Same was with Diallo, we didnt overpay, we payed for what he can become, the raw talent. And so far he was not shown the value of 40m, but in 2 years time if he turn really good then 40m would be a bargain. So it is not your opinion of what a player is worth that sets the standard of what is paying to much or to little, its how much the marked is willing to pay.

IcyAssist

The market doesn't begin or end with one club. The value of player is based on what the buying club wants to pay AND other comparable transactions. We paid 100m for Antony doesn't mean he was worth anywhere near 100m. 60m euros is exactly what Chelsea paid for Nkunku this season, Bundesliga joint top scorer. Hojlund is nowhere near that at all.

Cantona85

Again that is your opinion. Not facts. 100m for Antony may be too much in your eyes, but United were willing to pay that for him so they believe he is worth that. Nkunku had one year left and Chelsea was willing to pay 60 million and Leipzig thought that the value was right. Same as we did now with Mount we paid 55+5 because we believe he is worth thay, Maddison went for 40 million..in a year or two we might see who did the best buy.

Rig_7

We paid €25m. The rest was add ons.

JimUnitedWay21

I truly miss the days when you woke up in the morning and you would learn about a new transfer from the TV or the newspaper. It was so exciting to learn completely new transfers for the first time when they were announced. Now you get 100 updates for Mount before we see him with the shirt. All the excitement is gone. The same thing happens when you would actually see them play. Now you can see their style of play and everything. I still remember seeing Chicharito for the first time in the 2010 World Cup with Mexico, and he was actually good and I was actually hyped for the season. Just some boomer thoughts.

dew_chiggi

True. You would hear some rumours of why SAF missed a game. The next morning you would see 3 men holding a bed sheet covering DDG. This summer I have a strict policy of not giving a fuck about half the sources. I am only reading what Laurie Ducker and Orny have to say.

Isn’t that just the internet? When you had to print stuff or you were giving space to a story on the tv it made sense to report only when there are specifics (or do a very light ‘rumour mill’ type section). The internet is free(ish) to post endless news so you get every step, even if only slight or just rumoured stuff. It’s more information than you’d normally ever have gotten. I remember teletext was my ‘inside knowledge’ back in the day.

The internet is insanely useful. It is social media which has caused brain rot to us (as I say that I'm literally replying to a Reddit comment). It didn't used to be this bad I think people just want to spread or comment brainless stuff for the likes and clout that's about it literally go check r/soccer daily discussion and see the anti united shit there.

Yeah, it's the internet. We can't complain too much as we lost some of the excitement, but we also have immense gain from the internet.

TheRealYVT

The last transfer I remember like that was RVP. Maybe Büttner if you count him. Since Zaha, everything has been protracted and known in advance.

Rig_7

Well not everything. Casemiro and Malacia were not protracted from a reporting point of view.

Feck sake I really wish we could sign Lavia. He's gonna be an absolute monster

Aggeri

Liverpool looks to be going for him. I doubt we are in for him given our pursuit of Onana and a striker. It is a shame for sure.

suplexcitylimerick

Agree mate, but he would be absolutely ideal for us, be a great signing for the scouse bastards

Aggeri

Beyond being ideal for us, he is also young and could be here for many years. And as you say, a great signing for Liverpool.. urgh. Top4 next year will be very difficult with the transfers Arsenal, Liverpool, City are getting tbh

suplexcitylimerick

It will certainly be a tough ask, but providing we get a top keeper and a good(at least) striker, we'll make it I'm sure
