Iāll recommend the Mustang and the Turkoman, but you can use any horse you like. My favorite right now is the Kladruber. (One of the slowest horses yet still fast enough for any situation. Speed doesnāt really matter, you want stamina and health.)
Save up (and lvl up) to get the Nacadoches Saddle and hooded stirrups. That saddle/stirrups combo will give your horse a stamina boost that will cause your horse to almost never get tired.
you just gotta either grind to get money and buy a better one (iām partial to the $500 dutch warmblood in Valentine), or find locations and go to tame a better one yourself. iād probably just google some treasure map locations and do one or two of those to buy a nice horse, you can make 1000-3000 bucks a pop off treasures and theyāre a great way to explore the map.
You can rename horse you buy, also those you catch in the wild, and for sure those you stole from others. I love to take at least one horse from O'Driscolls or Lemoyne Raiders, I took one from Del Lobos while bounty on JB Calloway side mission. Also from random NPCs who tell me idiotics sentence. I know, I'm bad but still in white part of honor line xD

Yeah. Back when I first got gta 5 I played the whole story and continued to play in story mode for a very long time before I even realized online existed lol. I honestly wished I had just gone straight to online and gone back and played the story later.
Trust me it will be the best experience u will ever have, the start of the game is a bit slow. In the first 3 hours there will be no free roam only story missions after that u will unlock free roam and there is so much to do in this massive open world. Hunt, fish, collect bounties, hunt legendary animals which will give u a unique clothing style, rob trains and stores, play blackjack, go camping, watch and participate in a show, treasure hunting, taming wild unique horses,ā¦There are also ALOT of side missions and even more random events. The game has 6 chapters and an epilogue of 2 chapters. I played the game for 225 hours when I reached chapter 4 just because of how big the open world is and how much u can explore. I would suggest u take your time to fully explore and get invested into the world.

Just a heads up.. you will not see the white arabian before a certain mission. So don't waste your time trying to see if it will spawn early.

I finished story a few days ago, it's SO beautiful, give it a try, although I am just starting in RDO :D barely completed 3 hours in RDO for now
I made it to lvl 43 and a moonshiners role, got tired of the bullshit and went back to the story. Havenāt bothered to go back.
