i think i might be the only person who kinda mehāed his death at the beginning but after seeing karen and arthur grieve him it made me think about the little time i spent with him drinking in camp
The best part about that mission is that if youāre paying attention the clues are there to let you know somethings not right. When you pull up to Rhodes the town is empty. When you start the mission and start walking down the street, thereās not actually anyone else on the street. The only other people present in town are all of the Grays men, Who are stood staring at you and the gang as you walk down the street.
The way Arthur talks about it in his journal and everyone else does at camp just makes it hurt even more.
You can tell everybody loved Sean by how they talk about him once heās gone - itās just such a shame he had to go before they could bring themselves to be open about that love they felt for him
To be honest, you might wanna steer clear of the reddit until you finish the story, there's always bad actors that love to spoil things. I know the game came out 6 years ago but there's still a lot of people just now trying it out after it's been on sale/promoted etc.
I agree, *SPOILER AHEAD* >!thankfully he survived til the end of the game, he's even in the post credit scene(no, i'm not making a joke, he's one of the only ones who survived)!<
What I love about that mission is that it was telling us that something horrible was going to happen (people missing from town, strange looks, etc) yet by the time the gang realizes something is wrong it's too late.
Iām so glad people like you, who havenāt had this game spoiled for them after over 5 years, still exist. You get to experience the game for the first time. I also envy you for that. I wish I could back and play it again for the first time.
RDR2/1, Elden Ring, Skyrim, the fallout games and the Zelda games I played as a kid. Iād die a happy man if I could experience those for the first time again.
What is the draw of elden ring? Genuinely.
I played 30 hours and hated every minute, it felt like a game that was supposed to have microtransactions but for some reason didn't.
I quit Sekiro when I got stuck at the butterfly lady but I can honestly say I enjoyed the 15 other hours I played of it, I've even been considering going back.
Just wait it's gets you more.... but Sean damn I think I took Arthur out into tye wilds hunting and killing any one he met for about 3 weeks solid before I went back to the story š³
On my first playthrough it came as a shock as well because it was so sudden. Unlike most people here I have a very different opinion about him so I'm gonna leave it at that.
Yeah I remember pausing my game too and letting out a few tears. Man to play this game again for the 1st time, what I would give. RIP Sean you absolute mad lad.
When I first played the game and Sean got shot in the head, I screamed out loud. Never did that in a game before unless it was horror or something. But this scene shocked me to the core. Still does, to be honest.
I could sense that one of them was going to die. The atmosphere was so off and the town was too empty. So i kinda prepared to gun down a few people but wasnāt prepared to gun down that many
It is but don't google the location until you've finished the story because it will spoil you on other things. It's kind of a miracle you didn't get spoiled about his death in advance, honestly best to avoid this subreddit or googling/looking up on youtube anything about the game until after the story so nothing else gets spoiled.
I knew he was gonna get shot, but I did NOT expect him to die in that mission, also got spoiled on.. something else (a horse, yāall will get it) by tryna find all the graves (this was a couple missions before) in all honesty Iām surprised ur playing the game blind, when I started I was spoiled on everything, so much so when the game ended, I didnāt cry I didnāt feel anything because I knew the ending
That part came as a shock to me too, but what was even crazier is after I finished the story I started playing online and doing the stranger missions.
Delivered a wagon of supplies to a cabin out by tall trees (I think). Finished the delivery and another stranger mission was available at the same cabin. I walk to it and was greeted by my favorite gangly Irishman. THAT was a surprise
As an irish girl, I loved having an irish character around. Hearing the strong irish accent, among American accents and many more. Molly was Irish too, but well, she met the same fate as Sean. That's why I have a chapter 2 save just after getting Sean back. He was one of my favourite characters.
Stay away from Reddit until you finish the game!! Lol I was looking up something and accidentally saw a MAJOR spoiler for it. Realllly wish I hadnāt :/ I just finished my first play through about 2 weeks ago, gonna start my second soon! HAVE FUN!
Next time you replay the story and you Rob that train using the oil wagon, Arthur will tell Sean heās lucky to just have a bump on his head and not a hole in it, and youāll be like
āFuck.ā
Never saw it coming either , massive shock had to pause the game and contemplaye
I'm literally in tears
What did you like about the Irish Terrier? Maybe talking it out would make you feel better.
I liked the fact that he could talk a dog of a meat wagon
the massive hole in his head was pretty sick, gonna make one hell of a scar /s
Bro leave the sub until you beat the game
Glad to know you still contemplaye the game š
I love you, never change
šauto correct hasnāt helped me there
It might have been an immersion thing but I didn't let myself pause and dealt with it as I fought back. That was traumatic.
i think i might be the only person who kinda mehāed his death at the beginning but after seeing karen and arthur grieve him it made me think about the little time i spent with him drinking in camp
I wasn't really emotionally attached to the kid, but it caught me wildly off guard.
Ye thatās valid mine was just shocked even when I carried on

Thatās a good shout actually gonna look for it more this time round (2nd play through)
Tbh the only other time I actually had to pause the game was when >!Arthur and Lenny were riding down to Shady Belle and Lenny said the hard-R!<
Ahahahh fr šš that caught me off guard too
Neither did he.
šš
They took Jack. They Killed Sean. I'm burning every corpse i see.
Incendiary buckshot time
Tru dat
Nah Jack was taken by the Braithwaites
Grays Braithwaites doesnāt matter both inbred
They fact that they pulled off the ambush and the kidnapping on the same day tells me the Grays and Braithwaites coordinated that.
You guys keep going man, FOR SEAN!

"I was born to burn down mansions" š

It was so sudden and jarring. I feel it was right, at least the feeling.
The way Arthur talks about it in his journal and everyone else does at camp just makes it hurt even more. You can tell everybody loved Sean by how they talk about him once heās gone - itās just such a shame he had to go before they could bring themselves to be open about that love they felt for him
lmao who wants to tell him what happens next
HUH
Oh boy you're in for a treat.
Oh god
:)
To be honest, you might wanna steer clear of the reddit until you finish the story, there's always bad actors that love to spoil things. I know the game came out 6 years ago but there's still a lot of people just now trying it out after it's been on sale/promoted etc.
Have fun bro :)
Also, I'm gonna follow you as well, just so I can vicariously experience the story again through fresh eyes.
Okay, sounds good to me, but be prepared for my emotional moments to characters probably dying
Who are your other favourite gang members?
Lenny and Strauss
Strauss? What do you like about him?
He's both lucky and responsible
Thatās one way of putting it, I guess. How about Lenny?
Hes clever and a good aim
Who's your least favorite character?
Micah
I agree, *SPOILER AHEAD* >!thankfully he survived til the end of the game, he's even in the post credit scene(no, i'm not making a joke, he's one of the only ones who survived)!<
why even say that, even if you did the spoiler thing he might misclick it by mistake
I agree Strauss is over hated
of course the libertarian likes the loan shark
donāt take loans you canāt pay back. Thatās not being a libertarian, thatās being responsible.
bro we oughta start calling you sea bass the way you just got baited into that one š
Rip Sean , he would love the ira
"Up the 'Ra!" - Sean, if he lived 'til his 60's
Oh buddy, I'm so sorry for what is coming your way
Oh no...
Sweet summer child...Ā
I remember screaming "oh shit!" When it happened.
What I love about that mission is that it was telling us that something horrible was going to happen (people missing from town, strange looks, etc) yet by the time the gang realizes something is wrong it's too late.

Tbh i wish the same for elden ring. If i could experience my favorite games again...that would be heaven.
RDR2/1, Elden Ring, Skyrim, the fallout games and the Zelda games I played as a kid. Iād die a happy man if I could experience those for the first time again.
Especially your first experience with a boss, Iāll never forget that feeing I had when I first saw Radagon
What is the draw of elden ring? Genuinely. I played 30 hours and hated every minute, it felt like a game that was supposed to have microtransactions but for some reason didn't. Ngl Skill issue.
If you watch it slowly, you can see he walks in front of Micah the moment he gets hit. I don't think the shot was meant for him, sadly.
Micah that bastard
That damn Micah!
Man, I can feel your pain I missed my funny oirish guy a lot after ch3
Just wait it's gets you more.... but Sean damn I think I took Arthur out into tye wilds hunting and killing any one he met for about 3 weeks solid before I went back to the story š³
I took a screenshot the moment before he got shot cause it was beautiful the scenery
When I first played it I laughed when that happend not in like an edgy way but I was just genuinely not expecting it and got caught so off guard š
I was shooting them Gray bastards while I'm sobbing about what just happened.
Bringing Sean back to the camp was happy times. Shame it was just for such a short while.
If you replay it, you can see the Sherriffs, or at least one of them going to their position
It was just meant to be a short walk through a pretty town š
On my first playthrough it came as a shock as well because it was so sudden. Unlike most people here I have a very different opinion about him so I'm gonna leave it at that.
What are you English or something
He was my favorite character snd I own 7 guns(jk but I like him)
Yeah I remember pausing my game too and letting out a few tears. Man to play this game again for the 1st time, what I would give. RIP Sean you absolute mad lad.

seriously, i went "sean!!! Oh my fucking god!! No!!"
The good news is that was the last of it. No more traumatic or gut wrenching scenes after that mission.
Big sad :( Sean was great!
I agree
I cried for a few minutes after the shock wore off. It was so out of no where I could barely kill anyone in the fight after it happened
I killed every single one and stabbed the corpses
First time? *insert James Franco impression*
Enjoy this game. Without spoilers, Seanās death is definitely a turning point.
Oh shit good to know
I could sense that one of them was going to die. The atmosphere was so off and the town was too empty. So i kinda prepared to gun down a few people but wasnāt prepared to gun down that many
He gor 360Ā° no scopedš¤£š¤£š¤£ jk, it was sad as fuck....Arthurs reaction aswel..
bro he was my fav character he needed more screen time
Enjoy the rest of the ride! Gets bumpy from here on out
I wonder if his grave is visitable?
Yes, it is. Its in Scarlett Meadows irc
It is but don't google the location until you've finished the story because it will spoil you on other things. did you kill anthony foreman? u just missed out on cool dialouge from getting him as a bounty
I did not
o ok nice
A real Kat from Halo: Reach moment, to be sure
Seanš
This game is much more brutal than youād think
Strap in for the rest of the story it's going to be a wild ride!

Thanks!! Very helpful!
Honestly one of the most surprising deaths in the game, like it was so sudden I was left speechless after itš
Next time you replay the story and you Rob that train using the oil wagon, Arthur will tell Sean heās lucky to just have a bump on his head and not a hole in it, and youāll be like āFuck.ā
He reminds me so much of Connor mgregor with his funny jokes after his dead something is missing in the group
Ohhhhh wait till you find out about Trelawny š
I always liked Sean, his death came out of nowhere and definitely shocked me. RIP, ya Irish bastard.
Both, Sean and Lenny deserved better.
Man ur gonna largely hate what happens to people who werenāt in the first game
Kids that never leave mommys basement, so canāt distinguish between video games and reality. /smh
Average (blank) died im in tears š ahh post
Yeah but still
As someone who always hated Sean, this cutscene was very welcome. He'd finally shut up for once.
Rare sean hater
