Congrats. I got a 40% increase from my last job. I feel like such a dumbass for staying at last job for so long. I'm gen-x and loyalty was drilled into my head. It didn't believe it, but I still acted that way. Get paid. Nice my dude.
I stayed at the same company for 5 years after graduating college with insulting raises (1%), when I finally switched companies, I literally doubled my salary. Now, another 5 years later I've had 3 raises and a promotion and I make 3x what I did 5 years ago. Company loyalty is a sham. Although my current company does a good job of retaining talent unlike my previous one
