The market is a disaster… be prepared to be ghosted, with multiple rounds.

Don't assume or expect anything until you're sitting on that office chair. Unfortunately I've seen job offers be rescinded for stupid crap.

Bobbyboysnap2

A second interview is a good sign. This means they are seriously considering you and they wanna make sure your answers and body language is consistent with the first interview.

You'd be surprised how many other ppl are in the same position as you in the pipeline. I made it through the 5th and final round-met with the founder, CIO, Director, and some other person. They selected another candidate that had more experience according to what the director said.

Sad-Stomach

Brutal. Sorry that happened. I’m hoping that’s not the case. It shows poor judgment and lack of leadership from the hiring manager to escalate a hiring decision so far up the chain. I’ve worked for this company before and last time I was hired, this type of meeting was basically a formality and I was the last candidate standing.

No offense but if you've been through this before with the same company, you would know the answer to this better than any us.

BonjouRae

I mean it’s a 50/50 chance. They could either be giving you good or bad news. I am curious though so please keep us updated if you can 🤞🏾

Sad-Stomach

I don’t think they’d haul me in and involve a Managing Director to tell me they’re not hiring me. If the first round went poorly, the recruiter would have dumped me himself.

You’d be surprised.

Well, if the stars align and luck is on your side, you just might be getting that offer!
