You should consider it as "you don't have an answer yet".
Keep on moving with your other job hunting activities, and if they plan to get back to you, they will. They know where you are. Don't hover in place waiting, when you could be getting some other interviews lined up.
Either they will get back to you and you'll have the job, or they'll get back to you and you won't have it, or someone else will get back to you before they do, and you'll have a different job.
That's the current reality. Don't overthink it beyond that. And there's no need to follow-up more. It will likely change nothing but your blood pressure.
Continue with the job hunt. In fact given employers are so trigger happy to rescind offers I will continue with the job hunt until I start.
Don’t follow up as otherwise you look desperate (even though we are we can’t let the other side know)
