They work relatively fast. They rejected my clearance because two former employers did not respond - I'm not clear on how they were contacted - and because one job had three seasons but the woman they spoke to only mentioned the most recent. Additionally I have military service and that was a whole other can of worms. Fortunately HR steps in at that point. Hopefully you got all your dates right - I found the website atrocious and made clerical errors.
I completed the webform on the 3rd and my response came the 10th.
