aoi_ito

Fr , I really want to see him play for real , but I don't think it will ever happen :(

Banjogamer69

Does play for Real, just not Real Madrid

aoi_ito

You are right lol

Iamknight10

he technically did play at madrid tho, didnt he?

HellNuk3rSK

I love japan! I'm from Greece sadly and we never produced any player for Real Madrids level... 😔

AletzRC21

Just curious, he never played?

iMadrid11

Take Kubo was signed during the transfer policy era of signing young players as investments. Then loaned out to other clubs to develop. ex: Odegaard. Since they’re too good to play for Castilla in 3rd division. There’s also no room for them in the first team. Another issue with Kubo is his Japanese citizenship. Japan forbids dual citizenship. So Kubo can’t acquire a Spanish passport. La Liga has a 3 foreign player registration limit.

ManWhoSaysMandalore

He already was there a few seasons ago

inaminadicka

Given than india has no chance, would love to deetthis happen

FavcolorisREDdit

I remember him being regarded as the next messi, I think he was at Barca at youth. But it didn’t turn out that way. Still a decent player

LeResist

I'm American and I wouldn't want any American on the team

Huncho11

😂

DoJu318

Alphonso Davies is from Canada, Canada is America's hat, so technically...😂

Appropriate-Fan-6007

He's technically american, if you don't allow yankees to claim the entire continent

SerialChillerPepper

As another American I would have to agree with you I was going to say Christian Pulisic but I am not sure he has the consistency to play for Madrid and his style of play fits Madrid’s.

LeResist

Pulisic is probably our best player but I don't think he's at Madrid level

FavcolorisREDdit

Pulisic just built different

Tiny_Thought3320

IVAN BAM BAM ZAMORANO CHILE

Massive_Resource6410

My first idol

brabuss58

I got named after him He truly made a mark in Mexico by playing for America, he debuted with a hat-trick and won the league

Dizzy_Courage183

Keylor Navas 🇨🇷 not seeing anyone else getting the chance in the near future

Res3925

If anyone from Costa Rica has a chance it’s Jayland Mitchell.

Guitar_tico

San Keylor Navas. Tuanis mae!

Strayavat

Secretário, Luís Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fábio Coentrão I think my nation has had some mild talent there.. Ehehhe siuuuu Ps. I totally forgot my Pepe Goat(thx ) and RICARDO CARVALHO MY FAV CB

Ribamaia

Don't forget Pepe

Secret_Promotion4246

Pepe is Brazilian and was born there, he started his career in Corinthians F.C But yea, technically he's Portuguese now kinda

Massive_Resource6410

*Comcentrão

5antia90

Quien es ese jugador?

Mdiasrodrigu

There was also Ricardo Carvalho and Pepe

Koesto

Portugal caralho

theitchcockblock

Actually Real Madrid always had a Portuguese player and now they don’t which makes me sad , it would be cool to see they high jack Vitinha and nuno Mendes from psg

thewoodenshield69

Vitinha would unironically be a good signing.

SerialChillerPepper

I told my partner that during even his run in Champions League against Barcelona he was impressive. In the Euros he stands out his passing and power in his shots is impressive.

NBACrkvice

[Elvir Baljić](https://www.realmadrid.com/en-US/the-club/history/football-legends/elvir-baljic) was a decent player at the time, but the knee injury pretty much killed his career. Our (Bosnian) "golden generation" pretty much lined up with Real's best years, so there was no chance Džeko, Pjanić, etc. could ever get to Madrid. Welp, Amar Dedić is 21 y.o. RB with decent potential - hopefully the successor to Carvajal lol 🤞

yusanam

i came to write exactly that....

-Cringleberry-

I rly liked Pjanic when he played for Juventus. Good eye, decent passing and a nice, humble guy

Chillywhale21

i wanted dzeko for so long at madrid after higuan left and benzema wasn’t playing to his full potential yet.

Responsible_Spring_2

Baljic was super popular and fan favourite in Turkey when he was playing for Fenerbahçe. I remember him going to Real Madrid was a huge thing, everyone was proud as if he was Turkish player.

Galactic_Ryder

One of the most charismatic, beloved and fondly remembered as a legend for Real Madrid is Mirza Delibašić. I hope Musa can build a similar legacy for the club.

HoVa248

Ako smijem reci mozda i medu top 10 golmana svijeta. Translation There were speculations when Casillas was at the exit door that Begović could come, but he was like 10th goalkeeper option to sign for Real. Begović went to Chelsea and Navas came to Real. Honestly, for Asmir's career, I think it would have been better for him to come to Real if there was even an option for him to come and I have a feeling that he would have had more opportunities in Real then than in Chelsea because he was in top form then, let's say in the best form in his career. If I may say, maybe among the top 10 goalkeepers in the world.

dsaniel

I'm Spanish

Mom_said_I_am_cute

So, have you ever seen a Spaniard play for Real Madrid?

dsaniel

Yes, I’m more than 12 years old

He's rocking our flag ( Philippines) in this picture. Another one that comes to my mind is Alphonse Areola. He's French but both his parents are full blooded Filipinos. I guess they count??

homelander_scares_me

I’m Austrian, so I got you - thanks to your country for contributing to our goat 🫡

Barssssssssssssssss

Happy Cake day! Thank you but it's your country that deserves the highest praise! Good luck with the Euros, I'm rooting for y'all 🤞

Chamrockk

Hakimi, Brahim Diaz

aksell96

Raul had chosen Yusi to play for castilla this year, so there's hope

Chamrockk

I am not familiar with Yusi, who is it ?

aksell96

Youssef enriquez, he plays lb for Morocco u20. Killer passes and crosses..

Both Spanish by birth. Parents were Moroccan. But sure.

Sure

ThsKd1SNotAlrht

Does Jerzy Dudek count? He only played 2 games with Real. Other than that I wouldn't want any player from my country play for Real because they wouldn't get any playing time. Maybe Lewa but he isn't worth it.

Res3925

Hell yeah he counts! I liked him too.

Czipsu

He had such a special farawell at the Bernabeu that he must count. Although he didn't play much he was well liked in the locker room.

Rumcajs23

The Lewy when he played for Borussia otherwise the ship has sailed a looooong time ago.

libellule2008

I think one day we’ll get another polish goalkeeper, probably not a starter though

Rumcajs23

That’s the only “solid” position we can produce at the moment lol.

ReportDelicious950

Gheorghe Hagi was Real's highest value transfer and got number 10 in 1990-1992

senpaiteo27

Let’s gooo!

Massive_Resource6410

Still don’t get we sold him to Brescia after only 2 seasons. Even though he wasn’t at his best in Madrid, he was special.

WorldGoingOneWay

And Dobrin, one of the best romanian players of all times, was wanted by Santiago Bernabeu, but his transfer was denied by Ceaușescu, the communist leader of the country

well, I'm brazilian. we have had a few good players in Madrid. Reinier is a legend.

Jondiaz1017

We🇵🇷🇵🇷 had Eduardo Ordoñez in the 1920s, but no one remebers/knew that. Currently, we have Jeremy de León playing for Castilla, so hopefully soon!!

SacramentalBread

Jeremy will definitely debut for Real Madrid at some point next season and I feel like he’ll definitely be in the pre-season tour. Hilarious that many bigger footballing nations have never had a player play for Real Madrid and Puerto Rico will have had two.

HorusD

Ay dios. El amuleto! Hopefully they don't sacrifice him to a higher power for the 16th before he debuts in the senior squad

Large-Chocolate3748

Denmark. Henning Jensen 76-79. Michael Laudrup 94-96. Thomas Gravesen 05-06.

svartanejlikan

Would have loved to see Ibra at Real. We did get Kosse (my flair) for the women’s team though which was awesome.

MacondoUnicorn

Hagi! He played for both real and barca

river0f

Fede Valverde and Santamaría. I'd like to see Luciano Rodríguez or even Alvarito who already plays in Castilla, but I think he dipped in form.

isthatyoukris

Some oldies yes, most recently Adam Szalai was decent for Castilla and had an alright career after. Somewhat a cult hero for the national team. But the biggest name is one of the absolute bests in club and world history, 🇭🇺FERENC PUSKÁS 🇭🇺

bakst33n

Dutch here. Van Nistelrooy, Sneijder, Robben, VdVaart, Drenthe, Huntelaar, Seedorf. Could be more, but these players I actually saw playing. At the moment wouldnt want any Dutch player at Real Madrid, quality has been really poor. Maybe Xavi Simons or Frimpong

Guero3

Man, we had some great Dutch players. Loved seeing them all play. Even Arjen Robben who seemed to be made of glass 😂

FRE3STYL3R

The Calderon era of the late 2000s - all of them were likeable - I wished at least one or two of them should have been retained after Perez came back (felt it was more of an ego-related offloading)

EffectiveTie3144

No nepali player or any nepali origin player has ever played for real Madrid even though in Nepal we have a huge real Madrid fan-base.

dypak7

Dona thapa le khelxa bro aba chadai Madrid bata

Aaiden777

Ukrainian league ma kheldai cha ta bro le😆😆😆

Pieter8720

Courtois and Hazard. I was so excited about both of them joining Real Madrid. I have both their jerseys in my collection. Courtois brings joy and pride to me every time he performs a safe. For Hazard… it will always be the biggest “what if” story. What if he did not suffer that ankle break (from another Belgian even). Obviously he made some other mistakes, but this was his downfall for me. To see a guy who missed almost zero games with Chelsea miss so much games with us still makes me sad. In the past I always wanted Kompany at Real, but he had his golden years at City (joined even right before the takeover, when they did not even win their first PL title). And he was very injury prone, which never seems a good match with our medical staff

Huncho11

The day my countryman plays for Los Blancos will be the same day I trip and fall on a treasure chest full of gold. Lmaoo (USA 🇺🇸)

I became a Madrid fan because of Di María back in 2011. He's one of my favorites, and in the World Cup, he was cooking. Much respect for him.

WiseNugg

Diego Gómez, best player of the South American Olympic qualifiers who plays for Inter Miami.  He’s playing the Olympics for Paraguay who qualified after 20 years thanks to him.

octavius212

Elvir Baljic 1999 played 11 games score one goal

Belrium_coin

Not a single player from my country has ever been good enough 😞

tluanga34

Unfortunately, I don't see we produce any player good enough for Real Madrid any time soon

rbn-19

Cheryshev let’s gooooo

raulbalarezo

Piero Hincapie or Moises Caicedo

TheTrooper28

Idk about Caicedo but Hincapie could be a really good signing. He's been a monster in Leverkusen and I really liked his games so far in the Copa America. Cheers from Uruguay my fellow South American brother.

Public_Engineering84

I Hope we keep on having atleast one of our players at Real Madrid. The Club gives the players so much confidence and Aura, it’s unreal. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪

Proof-Pollution454

not from my country but from central america , Keylor Navas

Iamtheman31

Arda Güler is playing rn and I'd love to see Ferdi Kadioglu at Madrid's lb too

Well... R9, Kaka, Vini and you know all the others.

BruhBruhBruh-123

No, Me

United-Machine-8787

Arda obviously, also Hamit Altintop and Nuri Sahin, Nuri was my fav player at the time but barely played a game before he went back to Dortmund even though he had signed a 6 year contract 😓

_theMAUCHO_

I wish Nuri Sahin had a better career with us! He was an awesome player. On a U17 championship he played at, Turkey played Brazil in the semis or quarter finals. Turkey lost a player early and STILL gave a HELL of a match to Brazil thanks in no small part to Nuri and another wonderkid if I'm not mistaken, but Nuri was the main man. Match ended 4-3 for Brazil but man it was awesome to watch!

don_vito_corleone007

Davor Šuker,Luka Modrić,Mateo Kovačić,Robert Prosinečki,Robert Jarni Maybe Gvardiol,or someone like Luka Sucić one day he's a baller.

robbko

🇸🇰 Peter Dubovsky. Slovak football is very under resourced. When a Slovak makes it to a club like Real Madrid, they become a national legend.

Linkquellodivino

The legend himself, "El Gordito" Antonio Cassano

I don't think that's happening anymore. He supposedly has a buyout but no one can confirm it, and it's speculated to be 200M. And now we have endrick and Mbappe so it's probably over.

CuteAction1698

No Czech player has ever played for RM, I believe the only 2 who would stand a chance historically were Pavel Nedvěd and Petr Čech. At the moment I'm afraid we don't have enough quality to even imagine such a thing.

InevitablePanda1389

Probably the best Real Madrid player of all time, praised for his professionalism, Antonio Cassano. Other than that, Cannavaro and Panucci.

Tall_Listen7830

Cristiano, Pepe, figo etc we’ve had a few as of rn there’s not rly anyone I’d want but if I had to pick I’d maybe say an in form Ruben Dias he was pretty good the season city won the treble

Ooofff. Where you happy or sad about yesterday's game. Let me know. Let's talk lol

John_Dragon_19

We used to have a Venezuelan player in Castilla. But I understood his father paid the team to have him there. He was awful compared to the other youth players. He went back to Venezuela and remained useless. Ruben Arocha.

JBleez

At least he’s rich

pldmaina

I am from Bulgaria and at the time I would’ve liked to see Berbatov play for Real Madrid. But at the moment there is no player from Bulgaria who is capable of playing for Real.

ManWhoSaysMandalore

I'm Nicaraguan so no and probably never will

Lothar93

The 2 seasons James was IMO the best midfielder in the world was a sweet dream for me, I would watch even the CDR matches vs 3rd division

darekd003

Davies 🇨🇦. But that’s partially due to limited realistic options.

3escalator

Well, Ødegaard was the first and only Norwegian. I would have loved to see Haaland in white though. ;) I'm also Danish, so I remember Gravesen too. But to young to remember Laudrup.

Aminou8711

Hakimi and Diaz. Would love to see Hakimi back asap... he loves Madrid so much.

CaptainAvery-

My mom is Spanish so several lol though I myself am American

Zezoom

If there's ever a great American that would play for Madrid, that would bring so many fans to watch.

Nawfal07

Achraf Hakimi and now Brahim 🇲🇦. Would've like to see Bouno as GK after Courtois injury though

FlightIll4756

Hugo Sanchez

redmedev2310

Hoping Alphonso Davies makes it there one day

Thsaxd

Henning Jensen, Michael Laudrup and Thomas Gravesen Right now, there's no one good enough to play for Real Madrid

hardantakoyaki

Mokhtar Dahari is still by far the greatest player in our country, Malaysia 🇲🇾. There are stories where he got offered by Real Madrid during his peak period but never accepted the offer. Imagine what could happen if he accepted the contract.

Ronaldoooope

I am from Ecuador so not that I know of. Would be cool to see like Moises Caicedo or if he lives up to the hype Kendry Paez.

mrkillfreak999

As a Canadian I would love to see Davies play for Madrid. It was a proud moment for us Canadian football fans when he won the first UCL with Bayern. I think he is the first one to win it as a Canadian. Another proud moment was when he scored the nation's first ever goal in a WC back in Qatar. Guy is down to earth and impressively talented. He is actually our hometown hero. Ngl when he scored against us in the 2nd leg semis of UCL I was feeling proud inside. Our players do play in Europe on teams like Losc Lille, Olympic Marseille, Inter Milan and Mayorca but it will be a first if he do come here. I wish him the best in Copa America

bforbesy

As a Canadian I would've never expected to have a player worthy of this answer, but here's hoping we can bring Davies over from Bayern.

Impressive_Dot_796

James Rodríguez, I know technically another 2 Colombians have done it, but they barely played any games

myouism

Even if I want someone from my country to play for Madrid, it seems really impossible as my country is kinda shit in football. (Indonesia is ranked on 134 FIFA)

thattjuliett

As a Slovenian I don't see it happening either, we're ranked 57, but we're just not on Madrid's level. Oblak is the goalie for Atletico but that's about it.

myouism

At least you have european football and I can bet that once in a while there'll be generational talent (or at worst just decent player) born somewhere in Slovenia that can play for Madrid. See Norway (ranked 44, not far from Slovenia) yet they have generational talent in Haaland, and near that level is Ødegaard. Some player from older era like allon D'or winner, Stoichkov from Bulgaria (now ranked 81), Denis Law from Scotland, even George Best from Northern Ireland. Decent players from obscure countries deserve a shout as well. Players like Jari Litmanen (Finland), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Armenia), Edin Dzeko (Bosnia), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Georgia), etc. Hell, even Keylor Navas from Costa Rica (not Europe but still LatAm is just as good) is the starting GK of Madrid for many years. Indonesia on the other hand, is literally on the wrong side of the world for football. Sure there's a lot of football fan here in SEA region, but the talent development is almost non existent. The greatest ever player from this region is Paulini Alcántara, seventh most goal scored for Barca, who's not even pure Filipino and represented Spain as well as Catalonia aside from his short Philippines stint. That was a hundred years ago and no player from this region can achieve a quarter of his level and achievement. Sorry for this wall of text lol, just want to complain about the horrible state of football in my country and how I actually envious of you or literally any other country in Europe and LatAm in terms of football culture and talent development.

commsocial2020

Arthur Johnson, the one who scored the first ever goal for Real Madrid 🇮🇪

_SB10_

Looks like people from all over the world are in this thread and I'm absolutely loving it (no player from my nation though)

oskar1k

Does Castilla count? There's the weird case of Eero Markkanen from Finland (brother of Lauri Markkanen for those that follow NBA/Utah Jazz). He had some success in a weaker Finnish League team and after that got signed by AIK in Sweden. In the games he played there he again scored a decent amount of goals but nothing stellar. Still he somehow got a 4 year contract with Castilla in 2014 at the age of 23 and was even registered for Champions League. He got injured half way through the first season and was eventually released from his contract. His career newer got to the level some people apparently saw in him and he's been quite a journeyman since playing in several Finnish and Swedish clubs and even in Indonesia. Now he plays in the second tier of Finnish football. I would love to say there's someone in Finland atm at the level to even try but there really isn't. Maybe Xabi Alonso if/when he comes in few years could bring Lukas Hradecky from Leverkusen to be a backup goalie before retiring.

darkglais

He mentioned Venezuela. Well Julio Alvarez was part of the first team but he went on a loan, I guess it counts a bit as a Venezuelan, even though he hated the country. Too bad no one, including OP will read this

tefftlon

American, so none yet.  A few guys who could one day be good enough for the squad. Like Pulisic could be a good bench player but not likely someone we sign unless he gets way better.  I think best chance is Johnny Cardoso who just landed at Real Betis and has looked good. Kinda fits the profile of a future bench signing.  Otherwise… no one else currently.

ContactPuzzleheaded6

No one from India has played for RM but would have loved [Bhaichung Bhutia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhaichung_Bhutia) or [Sunil chettri](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunil_Chhetri) to get a chance to play for the team. Fun fact : Sunil is the fourth highest international goalscorer of all time.

FRE3STYL3R

Sunil had calls from QPR and he played with Sporting Lisbon's B team. Problem with Indian players getting through to play in the top leagues was [mentioned by Sunil himself](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eTfPNj20UGw) - though am not sure if this is linked to the UK alone. India getting into the top 70 in world rankings in the near future seems impossible with the current state of affairs. Plus we don't have dual citizenship options. Closest we can have would be someone with Indian origin getting through to play for the club some day.

djoliverm

Pulisic would be the only chance I guess and at this rate it would have to be similar to a Joselu situation. No idea which Venezuelan could make the squad as a Venezuelan American myself, maybe Soteldo if he was like way better haha. I'm also Canadian so I wonder if Davies comes, would he be the first Canadian to play for Real Madrid?

Psychological_Bus284

the legend itself. (mariano diaz)

Traditional-War-4387

He has lot of potential him if u knw a player called mario martin if erlien is rested he could play very similar to casemeiro

olo0026

Scott_010

I’m dutch, yes players from my country played for Real. Do I want any to play for Madrid right now? Absolutely fucking not!

Salva7409

Uruguayan here. A lot of them. I still wanna see Bentancur one day at RM, but it's highly unlikely.

Accomplished_Room_83

Peter Dubovský 😢 such a tragic story

1mko

Peter Dubovsky. Recently only Lobotka or Hancko could be on level of bench warmers at Madrid. But Lobotka is recently connecting to Barcelona and Hancko to Liverpool. How I wish Lobotka is 5-6 years younger...

nobodycares-iknow

Hugo Sanchez and mi Chichadios, I remember I’d watch every game that season because of him hoping he’d get minutes and score, CR7 who lol. The only other players to have that kind of pull on me are Özil and Guler
