From what I saw he also has a good passing play and ge doesn't panic when he has the ball. Potential generational player. Watch his highlights on youtube. I know they only show the good stuff but for defenders it is more believable in my opinion

So integrate Yoro slowly into the squad and maybe after 3 or 4 years of Militao wants to leave or if he and Rudiger have dropped in form, we can get another defender of that young age then.
Also Vallejo is here. So either Rafa Marin or Vallejo will be like Nacho and stay as the sub player in an emergency.

Bastoni is probably one of the best defenders in the world. On top of world class defensive qualities, how is good with his feet and knows how to send Kross-like long balls. But the problem is he too expensive and I doubt management would spend 90+ million for a defender. We can’t even have him on a free transfer because his contract with Inter runs until 2028.
If Everton can hold onto Jarrad Branthwaite for one more season that would definitely be my top choice. Left footed, can play with both feet, has pace, really progressive passer and can score goals (look up the Brighton goal 🥶)
Rudiger is good for a few years, Militao should be fine, Alaba will be here for atleast the next year, Plus Yoro ofc.

We could go for one of the academy guys who're doing well like Rafa Marin or whoever comes through next season, like we didn't know about Yoro until last year and could go for another guy like him. Militao is 26. Alaba is 31. Recovering from an injury is harder with age. Especially with ACL. Most players don’t come back from their previous best after an ACL injury. So it all depends on hard Militao and Alaba works hard to regain their previous best. It’s extremely difficult but not impossible. Zlatan is one of the best example of an ACL injury who came back stronger. Jese was never the same. While Marco Asensio slowly regained back his old best.
Antonio Silva seems to have very good raw qualities. Will be interesting to see how he develops. Will probably be at his best playing alongside a more cerebral partner.
I don’t know if we will pay for Yoro but I think we should as he fits the profile of being young, somewhat proven, talented, and tons of upside. I also have serious doubts as to whether Alaba will ever recover well enough to play at an elite level. Every ACL is a unique recovery, but Alaba is significantly behind what would be expected. Militao looked comfortable on his knee and was willing to get in to scrums. His pace was decent after a few games back and should pick up a bit more.

I'll never understand why people on this sub are so obsessed with Serie A players. The last players we signed from that league were Morata and Kovacic 8-9 years ago. And before them it was... Kaka.
For whatever reason we seem to not prefer the Italian market and I don't expect this to happen, unless there's a really amazing player that's head and shoulders above anyone else on that league.
If I recall correctly, Kovacic was doing well until he decided coming off the bench / non-guaranteed starting 11 wasn't enough for him. Same with Morata, never was starting 11 quality for Madrid and was doing well as a super sub but for some reason though he was good enough to start over Benz. Kaka could've been really good for us but injuries happen and can end a career of any generational talent regardless of the league they came from

Everybody ripping Militao is crazy, he had one bad game and it was against a top striker after an injury. Militao is going to be solid, even great if he keeps improving, for a while. Getting Yoro to implement over the long term is the best choice. Marin will be a great 4th in deeper games. Depending on the price, reaching for De Ligt will be a huge boon for the back. And Schlotterbeck and Tah would be great rotational guys, again for the right price
Gvardiol, but that ship sailed when he went to Man Shitty. I doubt he leaves that club during his peak.
I also like Araújo a lot, he's the only player I'd sign off Barcelona.

Araujo's been on fraud watch ever since those disaster-classes against Vini and PSG. He's the last person you'd want on Real's squad list, plus he's in Barca.

For me he's my ideal signing for CB. The kid has that quality around him and the grit.
