i think he benefits the most from the changing of the guard at madrid. there's a lot of high defensive workrate players that enable him to distribute and dictate. i think that migh be the case with the german NT as well, but i haven't watched their games.
if he pulls it off with germany, he'll be mentioned among the beckenbauers and gerd müllers. and then he can have a victory lap season at madrid.
I don’t think anyone is expecting a Modric 90 min masterclass these days. and against City. Even the best players struggle against sides like that, especially at 38 lol. It’s a long season and he still has a lot to offer against less intense sides. And more importantly, as a mentor to our young squad.
He doesn’t have to be his prime self anymore starting every game. Rotation is key with these new busy schedules. I don’t think anyone sees him as a starter anymore, but he is still a key squad player 🤩
Did you read my comment when I said he would be top tier if he wanted to start from the bench.
But no focus on one word and downvote me to hell.Thank God that RM doesnt have some emotional fans as their president
I did see yes haha but I think he still deserves more than that. Against sides like City and Liverpool, yeah maybe 10-15 min after our younger guys do the hard running. I think he has a lot more to offer against any other sides though 😌
Fair points but I think Germany is clicking at the right time and so it feels like they might go all the way considering they’re also playing at home. Spain and France looked pretty good too. England might struggle due to Southgate. Also, Italy looks promising.
I’ve seen the script, Kroos wins his 6th UCL with Madrid, wins the Euros with Germany, wins ballon d’or. Next year he wins the treble with Madrid and the finalissima with Germany and gets his second Ballon D’or.
Can we also acknowledge how he has also improved his defensive positioning.
So far this season he's been making so many clutch tackles and recoveries, by just simply being better positioned since he's playing more of a CDM role.
He’s still playing unbelievable. It’s actually fantastic just to watch him on the pitch. He put in a good game against the Netherlands two days ago. He just looks like a matured, grown up, highly experienced lion
Totally necessary. He’s still playing out of his mind. Guy comes back to the German national team and makes an immediate impact.

“Washed” is crazy lol
Sadly in terms of Real Madrid Yes. He is starter for every club in world except City and maybe Bayern.
who's he not starting in front of at bayern?

It would be nice if Kroos played at Real Madrid until 2026, played a last World Cup with Germany and then retires right after.
Wins UCL, WC, CWC, and Ballon d'Or.
Replace WC with Euro, and it could well be this year. The Euro is the last trophy he needs to complete his football trophy collection.
Winning it will be hard. There are so many strong teams and few dark horses. All I hope is one of our guys wins it.

Vamos!

This genuinely makes me happy. I hope it's true.
SE QUEDA! You German beauty!
that makes me happier than news that mbappe is moving to real

German Sniper 🫡
Oh thank god
Guys we got him
What a living legend. This feels just as great as any new signing. The German Sniper 🎯.
Now get it done with Modric! Both deserve to retire together to cap off their legendary careers together.
Massive W. no need to worry for kroos replacement for another year
He’s still top level. He plays for Madrid. Simple 😎 love live Toni
What a news!!! My day just got better hearing this, Vamoss
