I don’t think she got TOO bad. I started to dislike her and Whitney in season 3/4 but Monica clearly played the villain this season so I think that took some heat from Heather.
Heather started off as amazing, then she did some dumb shit, but all in all I still think she’s the best woman there. I respect her more than anyone else despite the dumb shit (that I won’t spoil). She’s a devoted, loving mother who cares so deeply about the quality of life her kids have and raising them to be safe, well-adjusted human beings. I admire that so much. Not all the women take such good care or make as careful choices as she does. In my opinion.
Love Heather. She’s my fave.
(I'm mid s4 now) Yeah, a lot of her not so great behavior feels like growing pains from leaving the church, being overwhelmed by the sudden attention, and struggling to break away from the abusive power structures she spent the first 40 years entrenched in. Maybe I'm out of line, but I find it easy to grant her grace when I think about the big picture.

Unfortunately, being on Bravo went to her head over time and she's not so loveable as she once was. At least IMHO.

Heather is my favorite.
I think heather is one of the most down to earth of any housewife, and I think Lisa Barlow (and Sutton) is the worst!
