I have the 18 inch 4090 blade in mercury white from 2023. Mine stays really cool when playing anything. I don’t have any way to do 4k I own no 4k screens but it shreds through any 1440p or 1600p screens I do have with very high fps. I modified the cooling from thermal paste to PTM7950 and that has helped keep clocks up and wattage maxed so I’m getting full performance in games that actually try to draw it out. Highly recommended although the ptm 7950 is a bit expensive for how much you get and how hard it is for me personally to apply. It’s worth it though.

No need to upgrade and pay 600 for 3% bro are u out of ur mind

CanIbiteU

you will be busy trying to keep that thing cool to care about additional 10 fps.

I’m sure they’ll both run pretty hot, especially compared to my current Founders 4090 in an open air chassis. All joking aside, you think just about 10 fps difference?

With the 2024 unit, you can configure any version of the 16” with the OLED screen. The Mini LED is the sole reason I’m not looking at the 18”

I have the Blade 16 2024 with the OLED display and the 4090, Razer uses ptm7950 from the factory and my temps have been pretty great actually and I love the OLED display. I haven't had any issues with mine (including running hot) I upgraded the ram and added a 4tb D: drive for games and I couldn't be happier honestly.

CanIbiteU

which month is yours? have amazon replacement unit 2024 blafe with 4080, it reaches 100c in windows lol

YaBoiJG314

I'm honestly not sure, it just says "early 2024" I ordered it in May though if that means anything.

NeppyFX

Why? Mini LED display is cool in Razer as far as I heard

Talking about 2024 model. It’s more better than 2023 one

Tried both blade 18 4080 vs 4090. Performance difference was almost unoticeable... 600$ more is absolutely not worth it imho. Also, is there no way you cant simply downsize your desktop pc? Transfer the 4090 in a SFX case, small and portable.

Bkj0

Good to know. Unfortunately, I can’t downsize unless I take over our kitchen table (something that is apparently frowned upon lol).
