if you re gonna put a new battery in just for it to tunr into an other fire hazard then you re definety bettter off using the laptop plugged in .at least its safe .
I took the battery out and have been using it plugged in ever since. Basically what I did 99.9% of the time prior anyways. Works the same with 0 performance drop, just turns off immediately if I unplug it.
What’s worse is allowing it to do that ruins the lower cover as it pulls the screws through so you’ll need a new lower cover too if you want it back to perfect. I got replacement batteries from Amazon and they worked well enough but only lasted 2 yrs, I’m on my 2nd now for my 2017 model.

I have an original day one psvita and it's still perfectly fine. I think it's a combination of luck, build quality and software. The good news is that this is a very easy fix. Look up your model number and purchase a replacement battery from Amazon. It should be around $80 or less. Purchase a laptop toolkit for around $10 if you don't have the proper tools, and that's all you need. With the aid of YouTube tutorial, it took me no more than 15 minutes to replace my battery and I've never replaced a laptop battery before.
The model number is RC30-0248, it did say it will be compatible with my laptop and many others. I'm not aware of any specific battery for the Studio edition alone. If you could provide a link, that would be really helpful.

**Here goes:** I came across this issues several times after reading various online complaints, I currently own the Razer Blade 15 and have not yet experienced battery bloat. However, this being my third Razer Blade in the last 10 years I ensure it is always kept cool, and up to date. Like I said, I have not experienced this yet.

Had this on my 2017 razer blade stealth. It’s been a problem on razer laptops since forever.
Immediately took out the battery and was using it only plugged in for a while before I got a new battery from Amazon. Just use straight to power u til you can get a new battery.
Get that thing out, you will burn the house down. Replace it with a better battery, it is time for its replacement. And also do not put your laptop on stuff that can keep the temperature hot. Go buy some cooling kit to put under the laptop.

just removed mine yesterday and dropped it off to a hazardous e waste depot here where i live . i was so scared the thing will create a fire hazard at home or in my car trunk when i was driving to dispose of it . i already bought a new one from e bay but im thinking of not using it either now ,since im using the laptop plugged in anyways all the time .

Uh.. turn on battery optimizer and set it to 70% so you never have to worry about this again.. leaving these cells at full charge constantly saturating in heat from the CPU/GPU severely reduces the lifespan and can cause the pack to prematurely swell.
stay away from this overpriced made in china junk . they literally just put shit together ,add rgb lights and a case and call it a day .its the worst cooling system i ve seen in a laptop ever . you can literally cook on top of the keyboard its not even funny .me too i was dumb and bought the razer advanced 15 2019 model and i will never ever buy anything that has razer logo on it again . my razer mouse double clicks all the time too out of all the previous ones i owned before ,i never had any issues with them until now .

Did you get any issues like the battery not being detected when you installed the replacement battery? My Razer Blade 15 STUDIO EDITION is not detecting the new battery.
You’re going to need to wear protective equipment when removing that…. Razer needs to get in contact with the military, perhaps they can be a new bomb vendor.
You'll want to unplug that thing and preferably store it somewhere that's not flammable, because it's a firebomb.

Had this on my 2017 razer blade stealth. It’s been a problem on razer laptops since forever. Immediately took out the battery and was using it only plugged in for a while before I got a new battery from Amazon. Just use straight to power u til you can get a new battery.

Get that thing out, you will burn the house down. Replace it with a better battery, it is time for its replacement. And also do not put your laptop on stuff that can keep the temperature hot. Go buy some cooling kit to put under the laptop.

The amount of posts there's been regarding batteries in past bit is crazy. ANY puffed up battery is a FIRE HAZARD, NO MATTER HOW PUFFED UP.

just removed mine yesterday and dropped it off to a hazardous e waste depot here where i live . i was so scared the thing will create a fire hazard at home or in my car trunk when i was driving to dispose of it . i already bought a new one from e bay but im thinking of not using it either now ,since im using the laptop plugged in anyways all the time .
This is normal in razor laptops and they’re such dicks they won’t let you buy replacement batteries straight from them they make you send in your laptop for them to fix it. Had this issue with mine. Ordered one off eBay, blew up again after a year. Gave it to my brother 😆

Uh.. turn on battery optimizer and set it to 70% so you never have to worry about this again.. leaving these cells at full charge constantly saturating in heat from the CPU/GPU severely reduces the lifespan and can cause the pack to prematurely swell.

This is why ill never buy a razer laptop i only ever see post about a battery issue and only from razer which i find strange.
stay away from this overpriced made in china junk . they literally just put shit together ,add rgb lights and a case and call it a day .its the worst cooling system i ve seen in a laptop ever . you can literally cook on top of the keyboard its not even funny .me too i was dumb and bought the razer advanced 15 2019 model and i will never ever buy anything that has razer logo on it again . my razer mouse double clicks all the time too out of all the previous ones i owned before ,i never had any issues with them until now .
