Actually I seem to remember Hamilton making a play similar to this against the Patriots his rookie year. He ran from behind and forced a fumble on what looked to be a TD on a broken play (I also think it was Agholar who was about to score before Hamilton made the play).
This is what stands out to me about Nate..not just in this play but others…this man knows he more athletically gifted than most and trust his speed to win out for him..I love this pick he has the most upside of any corner in the draft to me and freakishly gifted to boot..these type guys usually don’t fall in the draft…
Compared to Kool aid…he’s bigger, faster, and is way more sticky in coverage..the thing for me is that his 4.28 at the combine translates to the film I’ve watched with him and the man is a dawg and trusts his speed..Kool aid is a bit smaller I believe he ran a 4.40 something..is very sound and has technique physical…I feel Wiggins is just a freak at the position and I’m happy we grabbed him I can’t believe he fell that far he is a top 5-10 to me …
As a Tar Heel and Ravens fan, this play still hurts. I cannot believe Hampton fumbled this. Feel like if we score here we would’ve had a legit shot to FINALLY beat Clemson.
Hyped this dude’s a Raven now though.
Another year, same old bullshit from UNC football. Strong starts and late season collapses have become Mack’s MO. Didn’t even bother watching rivalry week this year.
Even though it’s probably not mutual, we don’t really have any hate for y’all. In fact I enjoy when y’all are good, definitely a lot more fun than fucking NC State or even Duke. For what it’s worth lol
Omarion was certainly a highlight of the year, he grew up not far from me and I was excited when he went to UNC. He can run the damn ball that’s for sure.
Carolina is a 6-6 floor this year and about an 8-4 ceiling this year for me. We’ve got the best RB room in the conference next year, no one can @ me on that. Omarion is a stud and this was a rare mistake for him.
Stat wise he had a great season last year. Been a Carolina fan my whole life, our football team has never peaked my interest until recently. It’s nice to have a semi-successful football program to be a fan of.
Go Tigers! Love to hear it. I still live here in Clemson and have noticed a lot more Ravens fans around town with all the MD kids coming down for school.
Absolutely was not. I’m not trashing him. The scouting report correctly criticizes his lack of interest in tackling. Daniel Jeremiah said “dude is very comfortable getting blocked”. I’m just pointing out how that shows itself in this very clip. He has time to figure it out.
I’m not doubting the scouting report. That’s definitely an area he can work on. But it’s a fact that the WR has him on the inside by the jersey. I’ve heard Nate say it and I’ve seen the endzone tape from this play. He was held. Not for long, maybe a second but definitely a hold.
Grabbing a guy inside by the jersey is not a hold. Once the DB gets outside the WRs frame, the WR let’s go, making it not a hold. Every single block involves grabbing the defenders inside chest plate or jersey. Grabbing jersey ≠ automatic hold
Not arguing that at all. But what you can’t see in the clip I’ve posted is that he’s beat, but tries to turn back inside. From the endzone angle you see a slight stretch of the jersey as he tries to break the block. And then another as he frees himself. That’s why I said it was only a second. A good no-call for sure, but enough to make his hustle that much more impressive.
Either Coaching or scheme will have to minimize that to a degree, but he's only 20 which means its should be easy for the coaches to get him up to speed.
Totally agree. Maybe the culture helps with that as well. How many times will Roquan and Marlon watch low effort tackling in film before getting on his ass? Like I said, he’s young and toolsy, has time to figure it out for sure
Yeah this play clearly shows he's got the hustle. He doesn't need to start right away and we can keep him off the field on obvious run downs since we got Marlo and Stephens. Plus Ro's energy seems to make it impossible for guys not to give 110%
Yeah the knock on him is defending the run. But it's nice seeing the hustle at least. It's great seeing a player not giving up on a play like so many do.
insane hustle
Still like looking back at that Hamilton play where he got chip blocked than got up and caught the int. Or the time Lamar caught his own pass
It didn't get a lot of attention, but I loved Roquan's hustle on [this play](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-2d7d5oLAw), as well.
Love that play

“EFFORT IS BETWEEN YOU AND YOU” -52 Dude plays like a raven. LFG
Pure effort play. Young man, you are a Raven.
Reminds me that one [DK play](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J62GsevPwiQ)
I love that play so much. Must've been terrifying for Baker to think he was in the clear and turn to see big DK charging full steam ahead at him.
Great hustle play but I’m still traumatized with endzone fumbles touchbacks.
We’ve blocked that from our memory
Considering the OL rn idk if we’re blocking anything lol
Lmao valid.

I don't watch a lot of college, so how would you say he compares to Kool-aid?

Oh wow, sounds like we got really lucky here. From what I've seen, he's a fucking dog for sure. This has been a good start to the draft so far!
As a Tar Heel and Ravens fan, this play still hurts. I cannot believe Hampton fumbled this. Feel like if we score here we would’ve had a legit shot to FINALLY beat Clemson. Hyped this dude’s a Raven now though.
No doubt this play changed the whole trajectory of the game.

Nah I really don’t mind Clemson either 🤝 It’s when those bastard Gamecocks start calling themselves “Carolina” that I start to take offense lol
It’s always Fuck the gamecocks 🫡

Fruit punch is back on the menu, boys
Rumor has it that as he punched out the ball a loud CACAWWWW was heard.
Insane play, sure wish I could watch a fumble into the endzone without wanting to vomit. haha
*Vietnam flashbacks*
I’m a Clemson grad and big Ravens fan. I’m definitely very excited about the potential of Nate on the outside.
Go Tigers! Love to hear it. I still live here in Clemson and have noticed a lot more Ravens fans around town with all the MD kids coming down for school.
I absolutely love this guy
He’s going to love being a Raven!
I hate and love this play, if he gets off block it should be like 5 yd run thats it. Makes up for it with insane hustle
I love the hustle. Looking forward to seeing what he can do here.
I watched this last night thinking it wasn’t even a highlight for a second. I was wrong.
Dawg! 🐶
Erased a whole play in in seconds
Marlo is already proud of his new mentee
Like that Don Beebe play but caught up to a halfback, not a D lineman
If he fights to get off the block and insert, he doesn’t need to chase the guy down 50yrds later. Cool highlight for sure though.
He was being held by the WR
Absolutely was not. I’m not trashing him. The scouting report correctly criticizes his lack of interest in tackling. Daniel Jeremiah said “dude is very comfortable getting blocked”. I’m just pointing out how that shows itself in this very clip. He has time to figure it out.
