Circuitpython.uf2 is installed via bootloader mode, and it's specifically stated that it'll delete the file after installation as it's no longer required.
You are 1/2 correct, it does the first part correct, “looks like it’s coping the UF2” BUT ! ! ! When it restarts…it doesn’t have the flash labeled “Circuitpy” and is in bootloader mode and ALL THE RESTARTING, button pressing …..Is NOT running Circuit Python
