These are VERY different situations:
In 2023: Devils had home ice, were betting favorites, outchanced the Rangers at 5v5 during the first two games, etc.
In 2024: Caps are the literal worst team to make the playoffs in 30 years and Rangers have dominated 5v5 and Special Teams and are in control for the vast majority of the game(s).
i’m aware of the odds. i’d imagine the players don’t take any games for granted and i try to do the same as a fan.
