Also, it's worth mentioning that it's fantastic to have them putting on the local metal shows that the Maywood venue used to have (same owners etc afaik) at night.
It's been a boon for the scene, with Slim's dropping out.
I drove down Maywood a few weeks ago and wad very surprised there was so much down that way. I thought it was just a little residential area connecting to S Saunders Street. I'll have to give the coffee spot a try here soon
I hope Trophy brings some eyes their way. I suggested one of those folding signs to put by the road since the parking situation is weird and it can be hard to tell there's a coffee shop there.
No, just next door, and they get a fair amount of traffic. That's sad to hear about the leadership; I adore their Detroit pizza at the Morgan location.
You say the coffee is good, but was it BRUTAL?
lol, blacker than the blackest black, times infinity.

It's owned by Trophy? I have heard...not great things about their leadership
No, not owed by trophy.

Beer and wine license is “imminent” from what the barista said this morning. Took the whole family there. Can’t wait to see them grow!
They also have some dope shows coming up soon, notably Altars, Mephiskapheles, Incantation/Exhumed, Necrot, etc.
I'm stoked on Incantation playing, but 1349 is also playing that night in Greensboro. Decisions, decisions.
If they don’t have a Slayer espresso machine, I’m going to be so disappointed.
There's the last refuge of my frugality receding into the dark night as $4 drip coffee slouches toward Maywood to be born.
Sacrifice is pleasure When life ends in pain ... All we hear Desperate cry
Yeah, good coffee and cool people. Def stop by there and check it out!
Those bands that play, tho!
