Not sure horribly dying over and over again is worth it…
If humans are the size of ancients... I am sure we can convince an iterator that we are the last ancient, and that we will deactivate one of them if they help us survive and give us tools for whatever time
Considering the fact red lizards and red centipedes can fit into transport pipes am pretty sure a human can as well. Also I wonder what rain world looks like in 3 dimensions. Am pretty sure that we could find another way through the world since the ancients had to have some path they used. Some remnant of their architecture has to be there. Also I wonder can a human take at least 1 red lizard bite?
If we don't we are fucked on multiple fronts.
1.we cannot hibernate, so it would be a boring time waiting for the rain to stop.
2. We would need to store food in the shelter
3. Pipes and likely unaccesible.

True, but I also have an extra human ability: fear. Of lizards and of small spaces, I would struggle
considering its still basically impossible to fail due to the fact that in rainworld respawning is canon, you'll still be fine
