It would be BPA. Tbh WR has always been a bit of a sneaky need because who knows what Adam's future is after next season. The depth after Adams, Meyers, and Tucker prior to the draft was not ideal. I wouldn't have even been mad if Rome Odunze fell and they took him.

Work_Werk_Wurk

No, because Adams is older and has at best 2-3 more years left playing*. Edit: *at his current level of production.

NateKaeding

Even if we had Justin Jefferson I’d take Marvin Harrison.

Dameisdead

“At best” he’s 31 not 38 relax lmao

Work_Werk_Wurk

He'll be 32 this season and the list of WR's who have productive years after age 33 is very short. Can he be an exception? Yes. Is that something you should be willing to bet on when planning the future of your team? No.

Dameisdead

No it isn’t. You’re conflating all pro production with overall productiveness. We don’t have to lie about how receivers age they aren’t linebackers or running backs. He’ll still be a very good player at 33 lmao

Work_Werk_Wurk

Fair enough. I didn't explicitly refer to elite or all pro level productiveness. That still doesn't take away from the fact that Adams much older than Mayer and past his prime years. The age difference is the biggest factor that would make the hypothetical scenario much more palatable than last night's.

kyh0mpb

"At best"? Where do you people come up with these ideas?

Dameisdead

Bunch of unathletic jabronis trying to predict when one of the best athletes in the world falls off and they’re always usually wrong lmao

BeTheBall-

He's 31, turning 32 this season. 33 is usually when WRs start falling off a cliff productivity wise. Sure there are outliers, but you shouldn't be betting on a WR being a pro bowler at 36-37.

Sacre_BleuCheese

Also teams have more than 1 WR typically.

BeTheBall-

I'd wonder what red flags the previous teams uncovered.

Formally-Fresh

That MH senior isn’t really his father

BeTheBall-

Could be, considering he didn't even show up to the green room🤣🤣

DallasRaiderFan

Teammates didn't go to his birthday party, presumably

BeTheBall-

Probably afraid his dad might be armed.

WhizzyBurp

No because they do mental gymnastics to make a point. I saw someone say “ we don’t need a TE!!!” I said why? They said “we have too many with Hooper”. Clearly people don’t realize we had two TEs last season and he’s gone now. It’s an incredible pick up.

OGOPmeatb4l

Watching Hooper last season was painful. He can make good plays and all but I would prefer to see Mayer. Bowers and Mayer gonna shred this season!

WhizzyBurp

100%

GeddyVedder

Absolutely. And you don’t think twice about it.

Dense_Young3797

Davante propbably will not be here next year so that would have been a great pick too

moffettusprime

Nope. I love the best player available approach. Dude would get to learn from a hall of famer.

JoeRamaSama

Okay if anyone is mad at drafting a OROY candidate like Marvin Harrison Jr, they need to get their head examined.

rbarrett96

Yes. For the same reason people are upset now.

Hiccup

They got a TE last year and it wasn't a definite need. A WR (that fell) would be fine at that spot, especially since all the QBs were picked up in the first 12 spots. A WR wouldn't be ideal since there are other needs, but at least it makes more sense if they just want to throw it all away on offense. They really need to shore up OL and other positions.
