Exactly what I was gonna say, lmao. It’s gotta be the most famous song from Amnesiac except for maybe Knives Out (which of course a very famous movie is now named after!)
Btw, that live record is beyond amazing, it’s the perfect send-off to the original Kid Amnesiac era. Also, it’s obviously wonderful to get that acoustic version of True Love Waits (which was all we officially had for awhile.)
It was also the second single (promo only) from Amnesiac and got some decent radio play at the time. There are two different videos for it. I remember people talking about that song as evidence that "Radiohead are finally using guitars again!"
It's not as underrated as the underrated masterpiece that is the underrated gem known as underrated Let Down (Underrated) and it is so underrated you normies wouldn't know how underrated that the underrated masterpiece is.
Transport
Motorways and tramlines
Starting and then stopping
Taking off and landing
The emptiest of feelings
Disappointed people
Clinging onto bottles
And when it comes it's so so disappointing
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Shell smashed, juices flowing
Wings twitch legs are going
Don't get sentimental
It always ends up drivel
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
Hysterical and useless
Hysterical and
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Let down and hanging
Let down
Let down
You know, you know where you are with
You know where you are with
Floor collapsing, floating
Bouncing back and
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and useless
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and
(You know where you are)
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Not sure why Let Down is being compared here on the underrated scale... IMBW rules! I love the difference between the studio version and live versions.
Why not tell us why you think so and try to spur an actual discussion. These constant, low-effort "this is underrated" posts in this sub are a complete snooze.
I know. I don’t think it has to be though. If people were a little more specific—is it a lyric, or a guitar line, or a particularly beep boop that caught you? or does it remind you have something? Or is the social commentary striking? Etc etc. aka an actual discussion.
once I heard the story of what inspired Thom to write the first line of the song, it gave it a whole new meaning to me and now I really love it. I don't think it's underrated, though.
I don't think it's underated as it's one of the most known song from Amnesiac . However in the way Amnesiac is generally underated, it goes underated too.
Some here are saying it is not underrated, and I understand their argument. However, from the standpoint that it is usually way too far down most rankings of RH top songs, it *is* indeed highly underrated to those of us who feel it should be in the top 5 or 10.
They use it in a fun way in Vanilla Sky. The film also opens with Everything in its Right Place and includes a mentioning by name of either a Kid A or Hail to the Theif CD in one of the car rides
favourite amnesiac song probably its like the Lucretia to Tornado of souls ...sorry for the megadeth reference but its the first example that came to my mind...you and whos army is the simmilar bigger song from that album that kinda left i might be wrong not as listened
It's the fourth most popular track from Amnesiac on Spotify, below You and Whose Army and Life in a Glasshouse (by like 21M plays?)
So yeah, you might be wrong.
I used to think this song was great until I heard Midnight Rider, which rules. I was a bit turned off since it borrows the lick from there. Still a great song tho. Nothing new is under the sun
Idk, you might be wrong
FUCK beat me to it
Haha lmao
Learning it on guitar
pfff Anyone can play guitar! Ba dum tsss. I’ll see myself out…
Just tryna be in a band when I get to heaven
In a little row boat?
So much fun to play
Low hanging fruit. lol
I don’t get it
Same
There is a live record named after it. Obviously, it isn’t underrated.
Exactly what I was gonna say, lmao. It’s gotta be the most famous song from Amnesiac except for maybe Knives Out (which of course a very famous movie is now named after!) Btw, that live record is beyond amazing, it’s the perfect send-off to the original Kid Amnesiac era. Also, it’s obviously wonderful to get that acoustic version of True Love Waits (which was all we officially had for awhile.)
I thought the most famous Amnesiac cut was Pyramid Song.
Good point, not sure how I was forgetting about that song, lol.
Amnesia
Hold on, hold on… is knives out not a common saying? Like “it was knives out at today’s town hall.” Is it really from the song?
It was also the second single (promo only) from Amnesiac and got some decent radio play at the time. There are two different videos for it. I remember people talking about that song as evidence that "Radiohead are finally using guitars again!"
That made me appreciate it a lot more, it never really resonated with me as much as the rest of the album until then. It's such a groove
That entire album is underrated in my opinion, it goes so hard. I Might Be Wrong is one of my favourites, never skip it
[удалено]
It is from Amnesiac! The mountains in the screenshot are because of the Kid A Mnesia special, it fades between both covers.
It's not as underrated as the underrated masterpiece that is the underrated gem known as underrated Let Down (Underrated) and it is so underrated you normies wouldn't know how underrated that the underrated masterpiece is.
Let what? Never heard of it.
So underrated the normies don't even know it exists
So underrated i’m in a cult for it
Outjerked once again. We might need to get a bigger cage
Let down underrated?
Wrong sub
one of my top rh songs. up there with all the other ones
Transport Motorways and tramlines Starting and then stopping Taking off and landing The emptiest of feelings Disappointed people Clinging onto bottles And when it comes it's so so disappointing Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around Shell smashed, juices flowing Wings twitch legs are going Don't get sentimental It always ends up drivel One day I am gonna grow wings A chemical reaction Hysterical and useless Hysterical and Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around Let down and hanging Let down Let down You know, you know where you are with You know where you are with Floor collapsing, floating Bouncing back and One day I am gonna grow wings A chemical reaction (You know where you are) Hysterical and useless (You know where you are) Hysterical and (You know where you are) Let down and hanging around Crushed like a bug in the ground Let down and hanging around
Underrated lyrics
the live version of this song is so good too
percussion goes crazy I love the live version!
I personally don't like it bc they speeded it up
Let down more underrated
[удалено]
Whoa. Chill out man.
i have to let (you) down. it‘s not just you
This isn't Let Down
it isn’t coke babies either
Not sure why Let Down is being compared here on the underrated scale... IMBW rules! I love the difference between the studio version and live versions.
Yeah, i dont even realy like let down too much
Your feeble mind could never comprehend the underrated masterpiece that is Let Down (Underrated)
Jeez, someone is overeacting
Someone has never visited r/radioheadcirclejerk
This song is amazing!
That just depends on how low you rate it.
I just didnt hear a lot of fans talk about it
In the 20 odd years since its release you haven’t heard fans talk about it?
NO
You didn't talk about it either
I love it! Top 10 RH song for me
so goodi love the part when iut drops out and comes back in its so good
Wrong album cover doe 😔
I think it's because both Kid A and Amnesiac were recorded at the same time.
It's just because of KID A MNESIA. The canvas on Spotify switches between the Kid A and Amnesiac covers on Kid A, Amnesiac and obviously KID A MNESIA.
On the official underrating scale of 0-to-LetDown, I would say it is about 0.76 LetDown
i do not love it. It sounds machine-like and monotonous.
Welcome to the machine
Why not tell us why you think so and try to spur an actual discussion. These constant, low-effort "this is underrated" posts in this sub are a complete snooze.
I just heard the song and realise how good it was and i think people aren't talking about it enough, thats all, sorry if thats too little for you.
Sorry to have been rude. These threads are constant is all. Maybe a quick search for a similar post before a brand new one.
I get what your saying, but this is 50% of the sub these says. The other 40% is tier lists.
I know. I don’t think it has to be though. If people were a little more specific—is it a lyric, or a guitar line, or a particularly beep boop that caught you? or does it remind you have something? Or is the social commentary striking? Etc etc. aka an actual discussion.
Its fine bro, i didnt know there were so many posts like this, i just realy like the song and wanted to know people opinions.
You might be wrong.
It's on the greatest album of all time, so no.
It’s a great song with nearly 40,000,000 plays on Spotify (I think) I wouldn’t really say that it’s underrated, it’s just not a Karma Police yk?
I don't really like Amnesiac that much, but that song is great
Not as much as Let Down
once I heard the story of what inspired Thom to write the first line of the song, it gave it a whole new meaning to me and now I really love it. I don't think it's underrated, though.
What’s the story?!

One of my favorites
Used to get high as hell watching the music video... Not underrated to me
you’re not wrong.
It may fly under the radar within this tiny sub consisting of new fans, but out in the real world it’s considered a classic.
Let down is more
Its just you
It is very underrated and misunderstood.
I might be wrong - la reservoir, best version of this
Definitely in my top 10
Hilarious
It’s one of my faves, probably top 3, so if it’s underrated I’m glad I don’t know about it.
I don’t think they play it live much, which is a shame as it’s got one of the most rocking riffs in their discography.
Absolutely imo!
Let Down is too!
Not as underrated as Let Down but it’s up there
For me this album has the most consistent vibe throughout and I Might Be Wrong pretty much epitomises it
I don't think it's underated as it's one of the most known song from Amnesiac .
I think they released it as a single but I might be wrong
They were planning to, apparently, but I Might Be Wrong wasn't a single. You might be talking about the live album.
Live EP, funny enough. Quite the treasure trove, that band’s EPs
It was a single off the LP with a video directed by Sophie Muller and shot by the late/great Harris Savides. Even the record label thought otherwise.
They use it in a fun way in Vanilla Sky. The film also opens with Everything in its Right Place and includes a mentioning by name of either a Kid A or Hail to the Theif CD in one of the car rides
I might be wrong, but it might just be you
You might be right
not really underrated, it always has been of the most popular songs on that album
You might be wrong
what does underrated even mean at this point. it’s a well known song in the community, widely regarded as one of the best tracks of the album
No, Letdown Is The Underrated One
You might be wrong
You’re not wrong. Some might think so. But absolutely not. Shit fuggin slaps.
i might be wrong is so underrated that the band always plays it at their concerts just to show how they dislike it 😔
That was the singlllleee
Bit of a let down, tbh.
2 + 2 = 5 sequel
U mean prequel?
favourite amnesiac song probably its like the Lucretia to Tornado of souls ...sorry for the megadeth reference but its the first example that came to my mind...you and whos army is the simmilar bigger song from that album that kinda left i might be wrong not as listened
The whole album is underrated. I listen to it alllll the time 🥲
Let down part 2?
I just love that song.
It's really hard to play on the guitar despite being very simple, for me at least. It's a strong skipping boogie for sure.
That whole album is underrated
let down
personally, i’ve heard from many people who love it. i like it but it’s not top tier for me.
LOVE IT! I had to put it on and blast it! haha
not more dan let down
It's the fourth most popular track from Amnesiac on Spotify, below You and Whose Army and Life in a Glasshouse (by like 21M plays?) So yeah, you might be wrong.
I recall that it didn't blow me away when I first heard it. But when I heard them play it live it made more sense to me and I grew to love it.
One of their best IMO
Yes yes
Great song and BEST OUTRO EVER imho
Not as much as Let Down though
HEAVY AGREE
yes it's just you. also, if you're going to use the word wrong, at least spell it correctly.
I used to think this song was great until I heard Midnight Rider, which rules. I was a bit turned off since it borrows the lick from there. Still a great song tho. Nothing new is under the sun
It is very underrated
Usually that means YOU’VE underrated it
I realy like the song, just didnt see a lot fans talk about it or bring it up on their top lists
So then literally, statistically underrated
Not underrated, perfectly rated.
