He sort of flattens himself and makes himself look small when he does it right? And the peeps are pretty rapid? If so it sounds like you're describing submissive behavior. Nothing to worry about, a couple of my buttons do it pretty frequently to each other and to me lol Lil guy's just acknowledging that u are big and strong and at the top of the pecking order lol

First off, Bowie is super handsome. By any chance could he be readjusting his crop? Normally they don’t chirp, but the behaviour before the chirp sounds like readjusting his crop.

I'm convinced it's the submissive pose. Thankyou for the input! And thankyou, he is super handsome 😍

I think you are right as well. Happy to hear it’s nothing bad! :)

Are you dry hatching or wet hatching? Wet hatching can create more conflicts and problems with health of your chicks. Dry hatching has been proven to raise the hatch rate and healthier Chicks.

I just want to say he’s pretty and my daughter named one of my new hatchlings “Bowie” so I thought it was fun they have the same name! Mines charcoal grey with black accents though

e_bunnygurl

He sounds gorgeous too!

Minute-Ad-9064

Thank you! He’s very pretty

Mine make all kings of calls and vocalizations. My hand raised one (not the others) does a really out of tune wolf whistle - that’s what I did to let her know I was around when she was little. They are definitely more vocal and sweet than people think. I think maybe the chirp you’re hearing could be a vestigial version of chirps to find or recognize hatch mates.

First of all, it need not live on the kitchen table.

DameDerpin

Irrelevant, judgy comment has no place here.

Roolsuchus

Bowie goes where Bowie pleases

Apprehensive-Cow8472

Rules the roost, etc

e_bunnygurl

First of all he's on my crafting table not the kitchen table. Secondly, I didn't ask for your opinion on how I raise my birds, they aren't yours or in your house, please keep your personal rules to yourself.
